Samhain is a traditional time to gather as we move into the winter months. Its a time to get together to feast, to listen to stories and beautiful music. To sit together and share our stories both personal and collective, to laugh and cry together, to be present to both the beauty and grief of life and death.

To be together with both the shadow and light in the warmth of friendship and community. To support each other to find that which we love in life to come to fruition with the support of something bigger and more mysterious than we can name.

🌱 Now that we're surrounded by settled dust (and colder days) our collective attention begins to turn to #EOTR2020. We were lucky enough to be joined by four incredible headline acts this year, but who's sitting atop your wish list for 2020?

Get Nick Lowe on the garden stage. His current work stands just as high as his more popular work. A strong live entertainer and an end and unending wit to boot.

Any of Angel Olsen, Ride, MBV or King Gizz would be some amazing and suitable EOTR headliners.

Conor Oberst (preferably with the rumoured reforming Bright Eyes), IDLES, War on Drugs, PJ Harvey, Kevin Morby, Wolf Alice, Sharon Van Etten and in the never gonna happen, Nick Cave and a reformed just for EOTR Neutral Milk Hotel.

swans, angel olsen, david byrne, death grips, shellac, fka twigs, ought, sleater kinney, u.s. girls, skee mask, hailu mergia!

The algiers

Could do with being stronger than this year - first one I’ve missed for years based solely on the line up.

Ghost Office Joe Gilson

Camera Obscura.

John Murry.

Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, Caroline Polachek, Holiday Sidewinder, Weyes Blood, Bat For Lashes, Hatchie, Kelsey Lu - any of these would be wonderful!

There is many mentioning Angel Olsen and Nick Cave, I agree with those. I would also like to see Big Thief in the garden and Sharon van Etten.

Aldous Harding, Floating Points, Maria Sommerville, John Maus, Bill Callahan (even though he did it two years ago).

Nick Cave, Mazzy Star, Supergrass

Nice selection. Would have added The National - Bloodbuzz Ohio, Liars - Scissor and Big Bio - Shutterbug as well. Obviously Joanna Newsom would feature if she was on Spotify
