A plan to bring back the Eurasian lynx – Lynx lynx – to Britain has moved a step nearer with research that pinpoints the Kintyre peninsula in Scotland as the place this large carnivore has the best chance of thriving. From there, the research suggests, the lynx could spread to the rest of the Highlands over the next century.
And what pray is the main food eaten by the Eurasian Lynx ???
It’s a terrible thing to reintroduce and further upset the ecological system. Plus the lands aren’t wild enough. The lynx would thrive in scotland because there is no other predator to compete and then be culled either for destroying too much habitat or getting close and interrupting urban areas.
What about the other wild cats in the UK that face extinction? Couldn't we focus on them before reintroducing a much bigger predator into the food chain? The cats struggle enough without adding the extra pressure of the lynx that could outcompete easily.
😂😂 There's no habitat or preybase for them in ISUK... nor will your worthless govt provide compensation for livestock losses!
Keep dreaming, you lot don't have what it takes.
