Indietracks

We’re really excited to say that next year’s Indietracks will take place on the weekend of 24-26 July 2020!

We’ll be back at the amazing Midland Railway Butterley in Derbyshire once again, bringing you dozens of incredible artists, vintage steam train rides, late night discos, art and craft workshops, real ale, street food, kids’ activities and lots more!

Please come and join our Facebook event page over here: www.facebook.com/events/540782080042096/

Applications are now open for bands, artists and DJs interested in playing at our festival next year. We'd like to encourage everyone to apply - please give your favourite artist a nudge if you would like them to contact us. We would particularly like to encourage applications from musicians identifying as disabled (visible or non-visible), LGBTQIA+, a person of colour, a woman, a non binary person. We listen to all applications and love to hear about brand new projects as well as from more established bands and artists. To apply, please complete our online form before 5pm on Sunday 12 January: www.indietracks.co.uk/24-26july2020/

Hope to see you all next July!

The umbrella bottom right is mine, but too far to come and collect. Feel free to give it to someone else to use - I got my money’s worth out of it at the weekend! Thanks again for a great festival

Christoph Konzerttagebuch Georg Caperlan waterproof! Das dürfte dein "geklauter" Regenponcho sein.

Simon Mason, any of this yours??? 😂

Thanks so much to everyone who came along to Indietracks this year! We had a fantastic time once again, and we really hope you did too!

Thanks so much to all the amazing artists and DJs, workshop organisers, caterers, kids’ area entertainers and stall holders, and big thanks also to Matt and Xcite Audio Services for doing the stages and sound so brilliantly, and to Claire Goldthorp for doing all our artwork, bags and t-shirts.

And as always, a massive thanks to the Midland Railway staff and trustees and our volunteers who worked incredibly hard to make Indietracks happen this year.

Finally, a huge thanks to all of YOU for coming along and supporting Indietracks and the railway again this year! We enjoyed all your singing, dancing, workshop creations, fine taste in real ales and your karaoke performances, and you made it a really special atmosphere once again this year. You also raised some really important money for the railway charity again, which is really appreciated – thank you! Hope to see you all next year!

(Thank you Mathew Schwartz for the KKB, Martha and The Spook School photos)

My first Indietracks, and it definitely won't be my last. Look forward to the next one - who do we need to bribe to keep the rain away?

Thanks so much for making this beautiful festival happen. X

Best one I've been to. Felt much more mixed and queer, and refreshing so many bands weren't all male-focussed. Thanks all, see u next year x

THANK YOU for having us, really loved it! Thanks for such a lovely welcome ❤️❤️❤️

I was so tired last night. Indietracks comedown now and working today (urgh). Photos to follow. My lost phone charger was found in one of my bags. Thank you again for everything xxx

Thanks so much to Traceyanne and Danny, Martha, The Spook School, Big Joanie, LIINES and all our amazing artists, activity organisers and volunteers who put on such a brilliant day yesterday - as well as all of you for coming along!

Gates open at midday today, with Jetstream Pony performing in the church at 12.20, and the fab pop quiz starting at 12.30 in the workshop marquee!

Tickets are still available on the gate and there are lots of treats in store today including Kero Kero Bonito, Stealing Sheep, Best Praxis, Withered Hand and lots more! Plus all the usual steam trains, discos, workshops, kids activities and craft ales 🙂

Thanks to Jon Hudson and Matthew Schwartz for the Martha and Spook School photos!

1.Withered Hand was 10/10! 2.Randolph’s Leap 9.5/10 3. Orielles 9.5/10 Agree with the inclusiveness. This is a lovely wee break / an oasis away from the crap politicians everywhere trying to get us all to hate each other. You are amazing Indietracks xxx

Agree LIINES so far.

Fab! Totally agree that the volunteers are amazing, cleanest , tidiest most supportive and welcoming, most civilised festival ever. PS - Can you change the weather though!!!! Rather damp! Though not dampened our spirits!

For me, it was Martha but LIINES were damn good.

LIINES best of the bunch so far!

Really enjoyed the Songs For Walter set 😀

Mammoth Penguins were absolutely awesome 💖💖

Loved bis and liines but I would say that 😅 one thing I will say in addition is that it is such an inclusive festival . I see more love here for trans people and gays than I see on the actual gay scene . It's a joy to behold to be honest ! Indietracks isn't just the great bands it's also the wonderful people that go !
