So, you’ve got your tickets for The Greatest Showman – it’s 2 weeks today, by the way 😛😎 – now, let’s talk seating.

We need to make sure that everyone is comfortable so we will be restricting the types of chairs we allow you to bring in – we don’t have space for recliners or bean bags, garden sofas or lazy bags sadly… but don’t worry, there’s lots you can bring in.

In short – a regular, non-reclining picnic chair, a deck chair or a picnic chair for two (as long as there’s 2 people on it), is fine.

Alternatively, bring a blanket and take to the floor!!!

No picnics and no alcohol allowed. Gates open at 6pm, movie starts at 7:45.

Tickets for Prom on Thursday, Ibiza Classics on Friday and local artists on Saturday on sale at http://www.hbmf.co.uk/tickets

Excited much????

Hastings Beer & Music Festival

This weekend all of the committee would have been at the Oval beginning the huge task of creating Hastings Beer & Music Festival 2020.

We are all very sad that we have been unable to put on the towns oldest and biggest charity fundraiser due to lockdown and the ‘you know what pandemic’, but we have been blown away by the messages of support and we will be bringing you something very special next year because it’s the festivals 40th, yes 40th anniversary, which means a whole year of planning, and lots of great new things to offer you all.

What’s been your favourite moment from the festival over the last 40 years ? post below with a photo or a memory to share and tell us what you would like to see in 2021.

When we used to be in the Park and the tent fitted like a glove!

So going to miss it this year but wise choice x

Last year in 2019 was the best year as I have a great bunch of guys as mates and it was in honour of my beautiful beloved long term partner Tracy who passed over Oct 2018 and brought me so much joy and happiness in my life for 12 loving years. Without them supporting me on that Saturday all day I wouldn't of bothered going as I have been for so many years. Now looking forward to 2021 and another day at the festival with my mates and another year and a marvellous memory to make with the greatest bunch of mates ever .

I love everything about it, Iv worked the bar for the last 10 years and enjoy every bit of it! Fabulous music, fabulous people and fabulous you make so much money for charity!

This is my best bits of last year the kavemen

Next year will be awesome!!

The Cavaliers and the Kavemen are my favourite. I go every year. Can't wait for next year instead xxx

Last year was my first year , I loved it , it was brilliant will definitely be back next time .

Any thoughts on doing a virtual one? I know that some bands (those lucky enough to have a studio) have been recording sets and releasing them online. Surely a stream could be set up for a party night for people to enjoy from home around the same time the festival would be on. You could save some hassle and pre record the sets - I know obviously not possible unless bands live together at the moment but I would hope that the lockdown will have eased by then and we might be able to get people into a large recording studio (large for maintaining distancing) and record videos and songs to stream. I know some musicians such as Gripper Lee 3 have been recording from their prospective homes and releasing new material.

Happy to support whenever! On a lighter note, is that a 'lock-down haircut' you're sporting? 🙂

Gutted but it's the right thing to do .... We can all make it an extra special one next year 😜🍺🍺🍺🍺

Sadly the right move. See you in 2021 ❤

Well done Paul McCleery PT. really good decision thoughtfully delivered.

Fingers crossed for later in the year

Can't the tickets that are already processed in advance be valid for next year without trying to get a refund through evenbrite as I have. Because I don't know if they will be able to refund people as normally they don't.

Gutted to see this confirmed 😔 was so looking forward to being there again on the Friday, totally right decision though

Sad news but the right move. Well done chaps

Thanks China 😫

Thank you.

Nathan Palmer, gutted ☹️

Shame it’s had to happen but for the best x

Disappointing but absolutely necessary.

In view of the current situation with COVID-19 the committee of the Hastings Beer & Music Festival are working strategically on the planning of this years festival. We very much hope that we will not be affected and we are able to hold this amazing charity event, but we have to listen to advice given to us by the government and external agencies and will update you as and when we are able. Please make sure you keep an eye on our social media channels for news, ticket launches and line up announcements. Regards HBMF

Considering how many children will be going it’s a family event and I presumed we would be able to bring a picnic the same as the Thursday, this kinda ruins the night and not what I was expecting especially for a large party as we have

  23. Anonymous says:

It’s a shame that you’re allowing people to bring a picnic to the prom but aren’t allowed to bring snacks to this for the children it doesn’t make sense 🤔

  24. Anonymous says:

Why is the prom different to the movie night?? I can’t see a difference?
It’s all very well saying you have venders but I’m sure they will be ridiculously over priced for a bottle of water, crisps etc for the kids. Really disappointed with this event now!
