For the first time Handmade will be introducing The Handmade Conference to the Friday preceding the Festival.
The Handmade team will be working with some of the festivals partners, including music rights organisation PPL - Phonographic Performance Ltd, to put together a programme of talks and discussions about the music industry and more. The day will be a valuable experience to young people, new bands and artists, those already pursuing a career in the industry, and anyone with an interest in taking a look behind the scenes.
Futher details of the programme will be released very soon. Entry is completely free but places will be on a first come first serve basis.

Frank Turner has announced details of his forthcoming seventh studio album. Be More Kind will be released on May 4th. Months after the release of Songbook, a career-spanning retrospective which also saw reworked versions of tracks from across the past decade, Be More Kind represents a thematic and sonic line in the sand for the 36-year-old. It’s a record that combines universal anthems with raw emotion and the political and the personal, with the intricate folk and punk roar trademarks of Turner’s sound imbued with new, bold experimental shades.
