Greenbelt Festival

We’re making some of the #GBWildAtHome festival content available to pass-holders for the whole of September!

Buying a festival pass will give you access to the livestream content from The Canopy and The Pagoda not just for the day or weekend – but for the whole of September. So, if you miss a panel or performer on the day from either of our two livestream venues, or want to watch something again, you can log in and watch any one of these main livestream sessions again on-demand for a whole month after.

It's massively helpful for us if you book your passes for our #GBWildAtHome festival weekend early. Knowing numbers enables us to get the experience just right and book enough livestream bandwidth for everyone to enjoy the best possible visual and audio quality – wherever they are. So please book early.

Greenbelt Festival

This week Katherine and Paul welcome the ever-inspiring Muslim thinker, writer and Yale Divinity School lecturer, Abdul-Rehman Malik. We brew up a conversation about food, drink and spirituality, and how slowing down to enjoy the ritual of making coffee can have a positive impact on your well-being.

Abdul-Rehman, our unofficial spiritual guide and guru, tells us about the challenges and benefits of observing Ramadan during lockdown this year, as well as how this unusual time has been a great catalyst for change. Meanwhile, Katherine and Paul discuss why Greenbelt Festival made the decision to work more closely with Muslim communities in the UK after 9/11. And, perhaps most importantly of all, we find out if Katherine is a morning or evening person (spoiler alert: her answer may surprise you).

We hope that the £10 price tag for the #GBWildatHome digital pass won't prove a barrier for people.

But, if it does, then please just message us through our Open Festival scheme (using the link below) and we'll see what we can do to get you a ticket. We don't want anyone to miss out, especially in these precarious times.

Hi, can I ask a question. If me and my partner buy 1 pass could we then “attend” different venues on different devices, or do we need 2 passes?

Greenbelt Festival

After putting on a summer of free content, we had expected a few questions about why we’ve chosen to charge for our upcoming festival weekend. But rather unsurprisingly, you lovely lot have been more than happy to go with the flow and have instead gone out of your way to support and encourage us. Thank you!

We do feel it’s important to talk about it though. (Almost) every year when we meet in the field, the artists, musicians, performers, speakers and comedians inspire us and help us to feel more connected to ourselves, each other and our faith.

Creativity and the arts can often be taken for granted, especially now, in a time when free content is only ever a few clicks away. But we couldn’t put on this digital festival weekend without finding a way to make sure all the people involved are being paid for their valuable work and time.

We know that you already know this – that’s why you’ve been so happy to pay. But some things just need to be said out loud.

Passes for the weekend are £10. Once you’ve purchased your pass, we’ll send you your login code – your digital wristband for the day – which you’ll be able to use on one device at a time, and then you’re just a click away from carefully curated Greenbelt goodness. You can even bring your dog.

Absolutely the right thing to do..... those performers sharing their talents and giving their time must be rewarded for doing so. This has been & will continue to be such a difficult time for them all. So many of them have given so much for free during lockdown to keep people's spirits up, but we must appreciate they need to earn a living 🧡

Take the silence as meaning something like "we think you're brilliant doing this, and we want to be involved". Should have said that sooner...

Is there anyway to find/match up with local attendees for Sunday?

Are you able to provide advertising links for the various fair trade concessions who usually support the festival? (I was particularly hoping to buy a hammock for someone special this year as I tried it out at a previous Greenbelt.) This might provide Greenbelt with an extra income stream too.

Laura Stonehewer this is such a cool idea! And here’s me thinking I wouldn’t be able to go to greenbelt this year! 🙌🏼

I was wondering if you had decided about having content available to catch up yet? I'll definitely pay to support and listen if I can, but as I cannot currently escape my '2 under 4' I doubt I'd be able to follow a live stream.

I wish the title was better though. This is straight out of the New Wine United Breaks Out in Spots school. Surely it would have been cooler to call it “All that nice Greenbelt stuff ... but with your slippers on”

Is the content available afterwards? We're using our booked holiday to go to the middle of nowhere with no WiFi 😞
