GoldCoast Oceanfest

Friends & loyal Oceanfest fans

After 21 consecutive years, it is with very heavy hearts that we are announcing #Oceanfest20 is to be postponed until 18th-20th June 2021.

Each year our team strives to ensure the safety of everyone at Oceanfest and sadly it would be unsafe for the event to take place this June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the current government advice under constant review, we feel that we cannot in all good faith commit to an alternative date later this year.

Although these circumstances are beyond our control, we still would like to send our sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to joining us for #Oceanfest20 this summer. If you have purchased a ticket to this year’s event, your ticket will automatically be transferred to 2021 with no action needed to be taken on your part. We will however be in touch with each of you by email over the coming days to provide further information and to outline all the options for those unable to be with us in 2021.

Thank you for your understanding. We are genuinely gutted we will not be sharing our traditional midsummer weekend in sunny Croyde Bay. We will now work our hardest to make next year the truly memorable production we all deserve and already look forward to seeing you at #Oceanfest21 on 18th-20th June 2021.

Stay safe, fit and healthy

So sorry, stay safe, take care of yourselves. We look forward to Oceanfest 2021πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜Š. Sally & Paul

A very hard decision for you all but definitely the right decision. We'll all be there to make OF2021 the best yet! 🍾

So gutted for you πŸ˜”. Will 100% see you in the field 2021 though! πŸ€™xx

So sad Shaun πŸ’” for you xxc

We know how hard a decision this must have been and we will look forward to supporting you next year x hope you are all staying safe x

Such a hard decision for you guys and I’m even more gutted after I missed last years festival, but it just means I will look forward to 2021 even more! Stay safe x

Your heart and soul will spill over into 2021 ❀️ πŸ‘ it’s the only decision you could make during these tough times. Roll on 2021 β˜€οΈπŸŒˆ

Gutted but the right decision see you next year xx

Sterkte. See you next year.πŸ€™

Roll on 2021!! It sad but the right decision!! It’ll be a fantastic year!! πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“ xxxx

So sad it is not going ahead...first Festival I was taking my 13 year old too - easing her in gently...never mind, sadly not sure we can make it so requested refund but bought with old credit card which has now been superceded with our new ones for this year but hopefully no issues as assume Eventbrite will contact me if an issue?

So my daughter was going this year .. she is 17 .. obviously next year she will be 18 when the festival is on .. so she goes into the adult category .. i take it it's just pay the difference ??

Warren / Shaun & Dan I am truly gutted for you guys and your families! I know from 15 years working alongside you how much effort, time and money you pump into making Oceanfest what it is today! I also know that all your families play a key role in the planning and running of the Event! My thoughts go out to all of you and rest assured we all will be back bigger and better in 2021!

Absolutely the right decision but hard to make. Was going to be our first Oceanfest too having being regular visitors to Croyde of the past decade but we have something to look forward to in 2021!

Gutted for you guys! No easy decision but 2021 will be the one to remember!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Gutted for you all, will be with you next year, it will be one to remember ❀

GoldCoast Oceanfest sending the love tough tough call and our collective love will be brought to 2021 event πŸ™πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ.

Sad, but 100% understandable - take care guys - hope the early date release gives you a chance to try and get some stunning headliners!

Lorna JadeCayla RebeccaKelly Maria 😒

Gutted, please keep line up....πŸ™πŸ™ was defo looking forward to spending my birthday seeing rudimental, but staying safe and well is much more important x

Yes I’ve just seen it Jo Coombes next year it is then xx

The right decision to make , we will enjoy it twice as much next year , stay safe everyone πŸ™Œ

Lisa Garnsworthy, Kara Garnsworthy, might be worth trying to contact the camping and seeing what they are doing?

GoldCoast Oceanfest

Friends & loyal Oceanfest fans

Following the recent tightening of restrictions by the Government, we would like to update you on our plans for #Oceanfest20.

We realise that it has been frustrating for some of you that we have not posted an update since Friday 13th March, but please appreciate we are a small player in an industry where even the big players are taking massive strain and we, unlike those larger corporately owned events, are facing challenges and uncertainty like never before in our 22-year history.

As some of you may be aware, others less so, Oceanfest is produced each year by a very small team of just three people, who work closely with the local authorities and emergency services to ensure the safety of you, our faithful fans, at the festival each year.

The advice from Central Government and Public Health England in relation to COVID-19 is constantly being monitored by the team and how far into the future these current restrictions will extend still appears to be an open question. As such it may be that we need to postpone #Oceanfest20 until later in the year in order to protect you, our fans, our volunteers and freelance staff, and the local community here in North Devon.

The team's objective remains to ensure that the event continues and to look at alternative dates which might work with our suppliers, landowners and the local authority, and aim to have a further update for you on Friday 17th April which will be posted on our website and social media pages.

Due to ongoing self-isolation, our offices remain closed however rest assured we are working tirelessly to consider all the possibilities of producing a safe and fun event for all of you to enjoy at an appropriate time.

We ask for your patience until Friday 17th April when we will be able to share more information.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you all when it's safe to do so.

Sorry catching up late, if the event is moved, great for tickets. We then have hassle of moving reserved accommodation, we are also at Ruda? which may not be available at the later date, is that correct and payment issues again?

Dear fans and friends

Due to the growing concerns over furthering the spread of the Corona Virus, we felt it best to update and reassure you of our plans for #Oceanfest20

We are monitoring all the official advice which comes out from the relevant government departments and other bodies and will listen to their recommendations.

As things stand, it is very much business as normal and we are working hard to deliver #Oceanfest20 in a little over three months.

Stay tuned to social media for more line-up news coming in the next couple of weeks.

Stay safe and we’ll see you all in June!
