Following our day of music at J2v this Saturday, we will be regrouping online on Sunday 12th July at J2v Virtual Festival: The Speaker's Corner for a day of stimulating panel discussions and films from some of the major players in our scene.

Moderated by Ralph Moore (Acetate Artist Management / Mixmag), Say It Loud will feature a discussion between Carl Craig, Derrick Carter, Seth Troxler and DJ Holographic about the African American roots of electronic music, raising awareness of equality in our industry.

Techno: Music Of Unity and Resistance will feature a conversation with Sama' Abdulhadi, Sarouna, Dj Dar and Darbak, exploring the growing electronic community in Palestine, and the power of electronic music as a unifying force. This panel will be moderated by Resident Advisor’s Martha Pazienti Caidan.

Featuring Dujon Fairweather of Listen Up, Emily Gale of Triple Threat MGMT and Farhana Aboo of AEI Group, and moderated by Sonos’ own Shakira Payne, Deeds Not Words: The Future Of Diversity In London’s Electronic Music Industry will be a discussion on the future of diversity in our workplaces, looking beyond performative allyship at mentorship, resource sharing, the future of internships and more.

Alongside the discussions we will be featuring films about the origins of house and techno - Detroit: The Blueprint of Techno, I Was There When House Took Over The World, Dance or Die and My House: Episode 1.

Hosted in association with VICE, The Speaker’s Corner will be designed to educate and inspire, as well as represent another opportunity to raise money for the worthy causes we’re supporting. For more info head to the Junction 2 website.
