Loved it so much. Dawn.... Talvin... magical. Was a treat to be a volunteer.... def available next time.
So so gun miss it this year 😕😕 we loved it. I had to paint it.
Was just saying to my husband as we were looking out over Pakefield beach last night what a shame it isn't taking place this year as it was such an amazing event last year and I loved having the opportunity to volunteer.
A wonderous festival that will come again Im sure. Real proud of Lowestoft and its army of volunteers x
Amazing festival on our doorstep. It will happen again and will be even better I’m sure.

It was a beautiful festival... Here's one of my photos of Talvin Singh at sunrise. Stunning.
It was an amazing sight to see with Talvin Singh playing in the background, his music really suited the occasion and then for those fishing boats to arrive with loaf's and fishes was just magical. I have to admit that being there for the whole duration allowed me to sleep very well when I got home 😉
We did and loved it! 🤩😊
Lovely time camping on the beach
Yes it was wonderful !
It was wonderful and will be sorely missed this year. 🙁
We miss Pakefield Man - our very own"Angel of The East"! Bring him back please as a permanent statue. 😍 Loved the Festival last year, sad that it can't happen again this year, but looking forward to another one in the future.☀️
Talvin Singh, fishing boats being rowed in to the shore, beautiful sunrise and the most fabulous, joyous sense of peace. Thank you you. ♥️
... with Talvin Singh playing in the background, being on my own, made this such a special moment ✨✨✨
I didn't unfortunately but managed to see it before they moved him on
Just wonderful 💕
Fantastic. Hopefully next year.
What's happening this year😢is all cancelled or just a smaller event. So good last year! If kids ha e to go back to school and adults back to work oo trains and buses can't see why not go onto beach.
Just before sun rise x
Yes it was just great
So sad this isn’t on this year.

We are so very grateful for the support we’ve received from our partners, colleagues, funders and most importantly, the Lowestoft community, over the course of the last two years creating First Light and making our first year such a brilliant success.
We’re heartbroken to have to cancel this year’s festival, and aware of the impact that this global situation will have on all the talented performers, artists, makers and crew that were due to take part, but we’re still working as First Light CIC to plan a programme of work later this year which will feed into next year’s festival.
At the moment, the world feels like we’re in limbo; stuck in the darkness between dusk and dawn, but there’s good news - the sun always rises.
We know we’ll all come together again on the beach, and until then let’s all focus on doing what we can in our communities; looking after our people and our planet, until that pink glow starts to appear over the horizon once again. ... See MoreSee Less

That's crap Lizzie, be back next year 💪
After last year was looking forward to coming up again from Colchester for the weekend. But as always after a festival. They say next year WILL BE BIGGER AND BETTER. ❤️❤️
How sad I know how much hard work has already gone into this but you have done the right thing and yes let's hope the sun shines for a fantastic festival next year we will be there best wishes to everyone keep safe
Bigger and better if that’s possible for next year, loved being involved last year, such a shame but under the current circumstances, inevitable.
Beautifully written. So sorry you’ve had to cancel, but our community will all be here next year to support the wonderful event you put on! 🌅
Roll on 2021. Love to all. Xx
The Sun will rise again over the east very soon and the festival will be much supported even more x

It's the festival not the sunrise which is cancelled, roll on First Light Festival 2021!
So sorry you’ve had to cancel, your Festival was so popular and well loved last year, look forward to joining you all on the beach again soon!
