Introducing the 2nd of our 'Art in the Hut' artists!

‘Constellations’ by JMC Anderson and Kate Florence Knowlden, will be an immersive, astronomical space where star constellations in the Northern Hemisphere are explored visually and linguistically.

Within the beach hut the viewer will experience the antics of language distinct in each separate star cluster, whilst observing the system as one whole body…

We are a young festival, and we start as we mean to go on - prioritising an environmentally aware ethos. We must all work together not only to minimise our environmental impact, but to positively affect our natural environment. First Light Festival will have a no single use plastic policy and we must all work together to enforce this. Thank you for helping us preserve Lowestoft's natural beauty. ...

We decided not to use lids on the drinks as we were on the beach itself, even though we had biodegradable ones, and it went down really well.

So this sounds like it's gonna be back, good stuff and bravo on the policy.

Brilliant! Well done First Light Festival!! 😎😍

I'm interested in finding out more about green tech for live performances. Are you planning to use any?

This is great news. My six year old was very upset at First Light Festival, because of the number of discarded cups and bottled on the beach. I picked some up but had to walk a very long way before I encountered a bin! I really hope that there will be a solution to this next year ☺️👍🏻

Maybe encourage people to cycle to the festival? Critical Mass cycle event?
