First Light FAQs!
DO I NEED A TICKET?
First Light is mostly free and unticketed, with the exception of the silent disco, open air cinema, events in The Aquarium and camping. Details for how to book for these will be announced soon!
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on that part of the beach in June so please leave your dog at home.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We are looking for 200 volunteers to support the festival doing everything from stewarding to photography. We will be launching recruitment in February, with training and briefings to follow in June. If you are interested and would like to put your name down for more info please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
I WOULD LIKE TO PERFORM AT FIRST LIGHT?
First Light is primarily a curated festival, although we are always keen to hear from and work with local musicians and performers.
Our music stages are fully programmed for 2019, however there are opportunities for DJs and acoustic pop-up performances. If this is something you might be interested in please send us some info and links to your music to email@example.com
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN THE PARADE?
The parade is open to everyone! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to be put in touch with the parade coordinator.
CAN I SWIM IN THE SEA?
Of course you can, however life guards will only be on duty from 10am until 9pm. Anyone planning a swim outside of this time will be encouraged not to by our stewards as a precaution and you do so at your own risk.
CAN I BRING A PICNIC?
We will have lots of lovely food and drinks stalls for you to enjoy, but you are also welcome to bring your own food– just please make sure you take your rubbish home with you! Please do not bring alcohol or any glass items with you to the festival.

CAN I CAMP AT THE FESTIVAL?
First Light will be offering limited camping pitches in a dedicated area of the festival site. Please note this will be on a first come first served basis and for tents only. Booking will open in April.
No campfires or BBQ’s are allowed on the campsites, however please join us at our communal campfire on the beach.
If you plan to camp with us please help us keep the beach and green spaces beautiful by taking everything home with you and disposing of waste properly in the bins provided.
HOW CAN I GET THERE?
First Light is inspired by Lowestoft’s natural environment and to keep it special we encourage anyone attending the festival to leave their cars at home and choose public transport to the festival site.
