Latest Festival Flyer update from Farmer Phil’s

Introducing the #Sundaynightsocial! We know there’s lots of people who’ve made new and lasting friendships at Farmer Phil’s Festival. Some have even gone on to marry someone they first met at our happy little festival!

We thought it might be fun to hear some of your stories about the social aspect of Farmer Phil’s Festival how it has made your trip(s) to Ratlinghope all the more memorable…

Hi everybody - we hope you've all kept safe and well throughout lockdown and are all looking forward to joining us next year.

We thought it was worth just reiterating this announcement about this year's festival being postponed JUST in case some are still planning to make the trip to Ratlinghope next weekend!

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates in the coming weeks.

We love you all xCOVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT:

It is with heavy hearts that we regretfully announce Farmer Phil’s Festival 2020 will not go ahead as planned.

Like many other events scheduled to be hosted this summer, we have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. The safety of our festival family – the performers, traders, staff, volunteers and not least you, our wonder supporters – is of the utmost importance to us and we have concluded that going ahead with the event is a risk simply not worth taking.

We realise that, while perhaps not unexpected in the current climate, this is disappointing news for everyone looking forward to our annual party in the Shropshire Hills.

So we are pleased to confirm that we have postponed this year’s event until 13-15 August 2021. We are working hard to replicate the line up that would have been playing for you this year, and those already confirmed will be announced on an updated event poster in the coming weeks.

Tickets purchased for this year will remain valid for the 2021 re-scheduled event and postal tickets will be sent out nearer the event itself. It would mean the world to us if you retained your tickets for next year, however we do appreciate that individuals’ circumstances can change, so if you’re unable to join us in Ratlinghope in 2021, please contact us for refunds via the channels below:

For postal ticket orders, please e-mail farmerphilsfestival@gmail.com

For online orders via Ticket Sellers, please contact Ticket Sellers directly

To help us process your request quickly, please only contact us via the above e-mail for postal ticket refunds – enquiries via social media can get missed.

Thank you again for your continued support – please continue to keep safe and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2021 when you can all geddon moi land again!

I’ve been to Farmer Phils a few times but this year I met my now boyfriend Steve on the final night! I had absolutely no intentions on finding a boyfriend anytime soon let alone at Farmer Phils this summer!

In 2011 I went to my first Farmer Phil’s with friends, another friend of theirs, Simon, came along too and we had a great time, lots of dancing and laughs…we all loved it! A few days after, Simon and I went on our first date and since then we have been to farmer Phil’s religiously every year. In 2015 we got married! We met some great people at Phil’s in 2014, Wayne, Sian, Roy and also Tabbi and Matt in 2015. Since then we have all got together several times a year, they came to our wedding and are among our best friends now! We’ve met so many great people over the years and we will continue to make our annual pilgrimage to Ratlinghope every August for our favourite festival ❤

  5. Stewart Wellings says:

We usually go as a bunch of mates, draw the vans and tents into a circle around the fire and stocked up with party juice, way to go! Plenty of fancy dress stuff and daftness a plenty! We see people we only see once a year but greet each other like long lost friends. The banter and the craic are legendary and we wouldn’t miss it for the world. I’ve been going to Farmer Phils for a good few years now, first one was 2012 with a few friends and family, met some people I will probably stay in touch with for life Bizzle 😁 then has a gap due to a relationship and went back in 2016, met more friends that again will stay friends for a long time, then 2017 hit, all I can say is the pink flamingo’s singles night (Ivor & Rachel) and at 2018’s farmer phil’s we came as a couple with a bun in the oven with Julie 😍😍😍

  8. Julie Hayes says:

Myself and my daughter, Victoria, first came to Farmer Phil’s in 2013 to our FIRST FESTIVAL EVER! And we’ve been coming ever since! Along the way, my other children, Lucas and Bub’s have joined us, as well as ‘The Mother’, Cath. Friends from home come, Marlena, Adam, Kate, Lisa Lily Fraser and loads more! And I’m still friends with the people I met in 2013, Carlton, Gillian and Mike! Last year, due to Ivor and Rachel and the singles night at the Pink Flamingo and our mutual love for Space, Kev and I got together and this year, we came with a ‘bun in the oven’. 2019, our ‘bun’, Niamh, will be joining us! Thank you everybody at Farmer Phil’s Festival for being a massive part our lives! ❤❤❤❤

  9. Cathy Jones says:

My daughter Jess Jones met her future husband Razzle Andrew on my 40th at farmer phils 6 years ago, hopefully we can all go again on the year of their wedding as a memory
