Deer Shed Festival

Deer Shed's bottled it: we're introducing a ban on the sale of single use plastic bottles and straws at #DeerShed9 with the support of our official 2018 charity, WasteAid UK.

WasteAid UK was set up by waste management professionals to share practical and low-cost waste management know-how with communities in low-income countries.

Deer Shedders know we always tried to make our lovely, little festival community sustainable, from utilising recycled materials in workshops to selling beer in reusable goblets and donating leftover food, but we believe this is our most important step forward yet.

So what do you need to do? Please ensure you bring re-usable water bottles with you, which can be filled up at one of our many standpipes. We'll be selling reusable bottles, just in case you do forget.

AND in solidarity with our friends at Association of Independent Festivals, you might notice something a little different with our website today! #DrasticOnPlastic

You should extend that to plastic cutlery and polystyrene trays too.

Fab. Please extend to plastic cutlery too.

Agree with the plastic cutlery, plenty of wooden forks and spoons out there. Worked well for Glastonbury.

Fabulous news from all of us at Plastic Free Ripon 😁

Good! No excuse for single use plastic.

Brilliant! Well done Deer Shed!!

Brilliant news!

That’s great!

Deer Shed Festival

🚨 COMPETITION TIME! 🚨

To celebrate #RecordStoreDay we've placed a golden sticker onto one special vinyl sleeve that's close to our hearts at Sound It Out Records.

Whoever finds the record will WIN a family ticket to #DeerShed9 (2 adults + 2 kids). There is, of course, a catch: to redeem the prize you must support the vinyl gurus by purchasing the record (priced between £15-20).

Oh and don’t despair if you can’t get to Stockton this Saturday – Record Store Day UK will also be running a competition to win a family ticket on their social media! 👀
