Have never forgotten seeing this, and racing around the streets following the dancers get into position at the next place. It would be fantastic to see something like this again.

Dance Umbrella

First premiered at Dance Umbrella's 2009 festival, Common Dance by Rosemary Lee is now available to watch until 22 July ✨

This bold production involved 50 professional and non-professional dancers aged 8 to 80, accompanied by a choir of 70 young people. Created specifically for Greenwich's historic Borough Hall, the space became a 'common ground', bringing together performers from across the generations. Walking the margin between the traditional and the contemporary, Common Dance is both poignant and telling.
