Dance Umbrella news: Journeying Between 2018 – Tavaziva

Latest update from Dance Umbrella

All young people aged 11–18 from Wandsworth are invited to take part in an exciting music and dance project with Tavaziva in partnership with the Royal Academy of Dance and Step into Dance.

Journeying Between is a free summer intensive, and takes place at Caius House Youth Centre, Battersea over two weeks in August. Register for your free place.

Commencing our countdown 1/40 is the brochure cover (design: Mike Carney) for the first Dance Umbrella festival in 1978, set up by Val Bourne CBE. It took place at Riverside Studios/ICA presenting 15 companies including Richard Alston Dance Company, Rosemary Butcher, Sara Rudner and MAAS Movers, UK's first black dance company.
