Another great addition to the Line Up, SWINGROWERS are an accomplished four-piece band from Palermo in Sicily; Loredana Grimaudo (vocals), Roberto Costa (production), Alessio Costagliola (guitar) and Ciro Pusateri (saxophone). Known for their string of catchy singles, albums and EPs as well as their live shows, the band have done official remixes for platinum selling artists like Caro Emerald (Grandmono) and Millie Smalls (Island Records) and have toured with bands as the likes of Caravan Palace and Parov Stelar. They’ve Also toured North America, Europe, Japan, India and have performed at hundreds of festivals around the world including 2 Sold out shows at Blue Note Tokyo.

THE SWINGROWERS’ sound ranges from jazz to hip-hop, electronica to gypsy swing but has been steadily evolving since their debut into a unique vintage-inspired pop. The first album, PRONOUNCED SWING’GROWERS (2012), was largely a sample-based affair which was to eventually characterise the electro swing genre. This was followed by the single QUEEN OF SWING (2013) with London-based brass section and producers Gypsy Hill. 2013 also saw the start of the series of cover versions that became the DO NOT COVER EP (2014) which included the band’s interpretation of Paolo Conte’s Italian classic VIA CON ME. Follow-up album REMOTE (2014) featured singles THAT’S RIGHT! and MIDNIGHT.

With more than 20 Millions views on YouTube and a hectic touring schedule, the band have settled into their current incarnation and following on from the success of the single BUTTERFLY (2017) they released their 3rd full length album OUTSIDEIN in February 2018 through Freshly Squeezed.

Chagstock Festival

Wow, check these out! Chainska Brassika will support Fun Lovin' Criminals on the Saturday night at Chagstock.
The mischievous rabble from London have been causing mischief since school, spreading their contagious horn driven ska anthems across the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.

Chainska Brassika are firm party favourites, getting crowds rocking from Glastonbury to Nottinghill Carnival, Rototom Sunplash to Outlook - and even touring the island of Jamaica. Well known for regularly opening for UK ska legends Madness, Chainska are at the forefront of the new UK ska movement, and their crazy live show have got the band regularly onto europe’s biggest stages.

Their debut album 'Skinna' was released in late 2015, being championed by reggae DJ David Rodigan and backed with recently being crowned winners of the World Reggae Contest in Poland, beating over 100 bands from 28 countries - despite being predominantly a ska band. This earned the band a trip to record their follow up album in Jamaica at Harry J Studio's - famous for where Bob Marley & The Wailers recorded the albums Natty Dread, Catch A Fire, Rastaman Vibration & Burnin'.

On 24th November 2017 the band released their follow up album 'Harry J Business', recorded at Harry J Studios in Kingston with double Grammy award winning producer Stephen Stewart. The album has a rare feature from well known reggae singer Toots Hibbert of Toots & The Maytals which has gained major airplay across BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music & BBC Radio 1xtra. The album gained a 6 page review in the world's biggest reggae magazine 'Festiville' organised by Reggaeville and got them invited to showcase at SXSW Festival in Texas, USA. Extensive tours of the UK and Europe to promote the album followed, with big promoters in the USA knocking on the door to get the album toured in the States.

"Well they got me going in the studio, I can tell you...I think that is absolutely brilliant" David Rodigan MBE on BBC Radio 2

"Chainska is one of the most impressive and promising upcoming acts in the reggae/ska genre that I have seen or heard in while" The Skatalites
