Latest Festival Flyer update from Chagstock:

Another Main Stage act for you. Small town Jones With many musical comparisons drawn to the likes of John Martyn and Wilco – Small Town Jones has been fast making his own name in song writing circles in the UK delivering performances of honest, heartfelt and soul stirring songs.
Having now released 3 highly rated albums, Westcountry based Jim (Small Town) Jones is currently penning his 4th and playing a handful of selected shows and festivals with his brilliant band.
“Jones has more in tune with the folk-rock of early John Martyn, questing for hope, love and warmth rather than succumbing to despair and loss – 4 stars” – Q magazine.
“Subtle storytelling, sparse yet effective instrumentation and dreamy melodies” 5 Stars – Maverick.
“Songs of unpretentious honesty, like a British Ron Sexsmith” – UNCUT
“Wilco Style tales of lost and lonesome outriders” – MOJO

And another! The Lagan will get you dancing! Beer-soaked London Irish folk punk: a rough blend of hard-hitting street punk and melodic dance-til-you-drop folk music.

lagan
\ LAG-uhn \ , noun;
1. Anything sunk in the sea, but attached to a buoy or the like so that it may be recovered.
2. A river in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
3. A rowdy, drunken celtic punk band based in London.

Forming in 2008 as a “[mal]function” band that would go and play drunken folk songs at parties in exchange for some booze, The Lagan became something of an urban myth: a potentially great band that was only held back by the fact that they didn’t rehearse, and didn’t have any songs, and didn’t play any shows.
