  1. This is what angers me about the British monarchy and politics….The queen should have the power to pressure other countries of the commonwealth to follow suit! What’s the point of being head of the country without having influence! 😡

  2. Yes absolutely, this country’s past behaviour in other countries is appalling right up as late as the 1970’s, we may be forward thinking now but it’s amazing how many people seem not to even know that homosexuality was once illegal in Britain until relatively recently. Learn some history before making stupid comments & showing your ignorance.

  3. The Bible assumes that slavery is normal. And there is plenty of evidence in favour of it. http://docsouth.unc.edu/church/string/string.html. However, you know inherently, that despite what the bible says, it is wrong to cause another person to forcibly work against their will for no pay in conditions of entrapment and threat of violence. If we choose to use compassion and basic human rights to fight for freedom for all persons against slavery, even though there is biblical evidence that it’s an acceptable practice, then, in the same way, we should use compassion and basic human rights to allow people to love who they love without reproach.
