This is heartbreaking, only 12, I wasn’t even thinking about suicide at that age

In 2018 people shouldn’t need to ‘come out’ – they should just be!

To me it seems the ‘announcement’ is misguided – there’s no longer a need for it and to be treated equally (which I believe is the aim) surely it’s unnessessary?

No excuse to bully whatsoever but when kids who are vile to each other at the best of times, lack the maturity to understand and accept maybe less knowledge of people’s sexuality could deter the bullies, because afterall sexuality shouldn’t be the identifier of anyone at school or work!

Why is this a big deal? Why was he bullied? He should be allowed to be who he wants without having to announce it to the world and more importantly without having to feel ashamed for who he is. It makes me sad that in this day and age something as simple as which sex partner you choose can determine the life you have. What a sad loss of life

It is very unusual for a 12 year old to have thoughts of suicide, regardless of their environment.
