Our friends at South East Dance have launched the #JamieWattonFund2020 to raise money to support dance artists struggling to make ends meet as a result of COVID-19.
Many self-employed artists lost 90% of their income overnight when COVID-19 hit. Many of these people may only have been able to access small HMRC Grants – if any - and many will not have been successful in applying to inevitably hugely oversubscribed emergency funding packages.
However welcome, the Government’s £1.57billion package could take many months to reach those that need it now. To donate £5 text JWF2020 to 70970; or to donate £10 text JWF2020 to 70191. To donate online visit easydonate.org/JWF2020 ... See MoreSee Less

"Forget the New Normal - Brighton was Never Normal anyway.
We couldn't do normal if we tried!" 👈 👇 We like this VisitBrighton 👏 👍These are not normal times - We’ve been trapped inside. One day has merged into the next and weeks have become months. We’ve been looking out of the same windows at the same views, doing the same things for what seems like forever. The same has become the normal.
And the media tells us that all we have to look forward to is the new normal.
Brighton was Never Normal anyway. It’s a place that’s always offered escape. It’s always been different. It’s a city with more than a little bit of attitude. A home to free thinkers, artists, entrepreneurs, eccentrics and entertainers. We couldn’t do normal if we tried.
Welcome Back to #NeverNormalBrighton
