Latest update from Bluedot:

Our home Jodrell Bank has been selected as the UK’s latest candidate for selection as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, joining sites like the Taj Mahal and Stonehenge as important landmarks. It’s home to the iconic Lovell Telescope and a multitude of rich scientific history from Sputnik and the discovery of quasars.

We can’t wait to return to orbit 20.21.22 July 2018. >

Kyle Worthington you missed out!

My fav gig of last year 🙂

It was utterly joyous, both reminiscent and futuristic - both at the same time. An absolute triumph.

We were there and it was beautiful. 😍🌍

I was at the front and was brilliant, then I saw them again in December in Manchester. Can see myself at front in that clip

Sarah Morris ❤️ Roll on July x

I had the best acid trip of my life watching these last year

I was 4 months pregnant and raving at the back 💃 and we're coming back again this year with the bairn 😁

The best gig I’ve ever been to in 30+ years. I was right at the front & the boys from Kent absolutely smashed it.

Leftfield and the Hartnoll bros in the same weekend... Life doesn't get any better than that...

We did and so did baby bump. I wasn't letting being 7 months pregnant stop us. 😉 Neil Nez Williamson

The award winning bluedot festival will be opening its doors for the first time with The Blue Planet in Concert, performed by The Hallé Orchestra to kick off a brand new family four-day format. The show combines live music against a backdrop of remarkable footage from the original Blue Planet 2001 television series produced by the acclaimed BBC Natural History Unit.

Conducted by the composer, the Halle will perform George Fenton's internationally critically acclaimed concert version of the original Blue Planet, promising a unique and awe-inspiring spectacle in HD, exploring the vast oceans on our pale blue dot, and the challenges we face for the future.

Opening the concert on the Thursday will be Laura Misch, a saxophonist, vocalist and producer popular with Gilles Peterson and Worldwide FM, whose extraordinary one-woman show fuses jazz and progressive electronic genres through exploring the space between analogue and electronically-manipulated sound.

Enjoy The Blue Planet in Concert with the Hallé by booking a VIP ticket, allowing you access to the Celestial VIP bar and bathroom.
