Following last summer’s successful second Year at Jodrell Bank, multi-award winning bluedot festival has now got weekend tickets on sale – with the added incentive to claim a very limited edition Christmas card to give to friends and family to, as the organisers say, ‘perhaps deliver the perfect gift – tickets to next years festival‘.

This year’s event – that had 10,000 revelers on site  – saw incredible performances across the board including alt-rock legends the Pixies, electronic pioneers Orbital, indie experimentalists Alt-J and a host of other live sets, talks, debates and activities.

Said festival founder, Ben Robinson: “We’re overwhelmed with the love that bluedot has received and we are delighted to announce that tickets for 2018 are now on sale in time for Christmas.

“We’ve got some extremely exciting plans for 2018 – we can’t wait to announce it all in the New Year.”

Taking place 20-22 July 2018 at Jodrell Bank, the Cheshire observatory at the cutting edge of humanity’s quest for knowledge, bluedot is a three-day festival of discovery that fuses a complex mix of artists, speakers, scientists and performers into an event unlike any on earth.

In 2018 guests can again expect a galaxy of talent from across the musical, scientific, literary and arts communities with five distinct arenas featuring space orchestras, talks, screenings, lectures, comedy and debates, a vast spectrum of hands-on activities and much more.

There will, as ever diverse mix of culinary options on offer, along with standard and newly improved luxury camping options.

Full weekend camping tickets are now on sale and start from £159 outright cost or a £29 payment plan.

Boutique camping offers a vast and varied selection of luxury accommodation options for those who prefer an extra touch of comfort and will be on sale early 2018.

The full bluedot programme will be announced in the near future. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit: discoverthebluedot.com
