He was orphaned at the age of eight and was brought up on a small estate in Powys by his elder brother. Benji Webbe of Skindred has certainly come a long way since those days – and claims music saved his life.

  1. Drunkenly mistook benji for the vocalist of God Forbid once. Backstage at download. Spoke at length about how great it was seeing his band come over to the UK and how i loved their latest album. Let me dig myself a hole for a good 10-15 minutes before calling me a cunt and walking off. Good times

  2. Benji is the boy and one of the nicest guys I have met in music. If I wasn’t playing at the same time with my band Criminal on the SOPHIE stage I would be out showing my respect to Benji and the boys in Skindred!!
