ICYMI: Based in the Midgard campsite are our festival Samaritans. These guys are available 24hrs a day, from Thursday through to Monday morning. It doesn’t matter if it’s late or early, baking hot or raining, if you’re feeling low and need some emotional support while you’re at Bloodstock, please stop by their tent for a non-judgemental and confidential chat with someone trained to listen. You can learn more about the Samaritans at: http://www.samaritans.org/.

This is good but I wish they wouldn’t walk up to people and ask them if they’ve ever considered suicide or harming themselves. They need to let people come to them rather than trying to hunt out people that they think are suicidal because they dress a certain way.

Yeah. You’re paying enough to be at the festival, don’t let the depression ruin it for you.

I thought it was great that these guys were there last year, our tent was not too far from them and they were always smiling as we passed. On one of the evenings i decided they needed some love themselves and (possibly slightly drunk) i gave them all a big hug!! Unfortunately i wont be there this year so I hope someone else can give them a big hug or two instead.
    Samaritans need love too!!

Last year I walked past the tent.
“How are you, are you OK?”
“Yeah man I’m just getting a bacon roll 😉”
