This is very positive to hear. Not only are we one of two UK festivals with a zero waste to landfill policy, but we are also committed to complying with, and exceeding where possible, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice regarding this and many other aspects of sustainability. That’s why we’re banning the use of plastic straws, cutlery and take-away food containers across all bars and food/drink stalls both in the festival and backstage. Don’t worry though, we’ll make sure you still have something to eat your dinner with 👍
And don’t forget that all of our tickets include a £10 refundable litter bond in the price which we give you back at end of the festival when you hand over some trash. OR… and here’s the clever bit… hand it over during the festival and we’ll give you £12 to spend at the bars. DOUBLE WIN 🍻
The United Kingdom Plans To Ban Plastic Straws As Early As Next Year
Prime Minister Theresa May announced a plastic straw ban as part of her 25-year environmental plan to eliminate plastic waste.
