VENUS FLYTRAP LINE-UP ANNOUNCED
FOR BELLADRUM 2019

The curtains have come up on the 2019 line-up of Bella’s Venus Flytrap Big Top. A firm favourite for many at Belladrum Festival, the Venus Flytrap stage features an eclectic and electrifying programme of cabaret, music, comedy, big shows and so much more.

You are invited to join the Glasgow Festival of Burlesque team for a late-night dose of bumps, grinds, shimmiys and shakes from some of the finest burlesque performers from around the galaxy! One of The Evening Times top 10 shows at The Edinburg Fringe in 2018 Bugle Boys – A Salute To The Andrews Sisters join us for night of The Andrews Sisters inspired cabaret and comedy.

Extra-terrestrial noisemakers Henge join us to celebrate our sci-fi theme. Making earth their home in recent years they are set to entice more followers or ‘Raveling’s’ to their fusion of alien electronic dance music, prog and psychedelia. With their feet firmly on solid ground Gimme Abba will have everyone singing along with all of their favourite Abba hits, while the audience will truly become the stars at mass singalongs with the one and only Massaoke Scotland.

World Music collective Suns Of Arqawill present their Scottish Dub Operatta THE WOLF OF BADENOCH. Based on the story of Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan who burned down Elgin Cathedral in 1390 this is set to be a highlight of the weekend.

We will also have a packed comedy line-up over the weekend, full details will be announced shortly but expect to see some of the most exciting names on the Scottish comedy circuit.

Other acts appearing over the weekend are Highland Voices CHOIR, firm favourites PBW WRESTLING, hypnotist Grant Saunders Hypnotist, the legend that is MR BOOM, Magician Dean Spruce Magician, and Circus Skills workshops with Trapeze Entertainment.

2019 will see the re-introduction of the BELLADRUM FAMILY FANCY DRESS COMPETITION. We have partnered with NessCon – Inverness Comic Con, the Highland’s very own Comic Convention who will judge this years’ entries! Prizes (including tickets to the 2020 festival) will be awarded to best male and best female outfits and a special prize for best family or group outfits.
