Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival news: Regular Belladrum favourites, the Highlands own Spring Break are set to release …

Latest update from Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival :

Regular Belladrum favourites, the Highlands own Spring Break are set to release their debut album ‘Tropicaledonia’ this Friday 13th April.

Formed at Belladrum 2014, the band described our own Joe Gibbs as their ‘hands off mid wife’.

Released on the 13th of April through all the usual online download and streaming services. Preorders available now from: www.springbreakscot.bandcamp.com/releases

Join us on a journey of ambitious diversity, exploring a broad palette of influences marinading in a melting pot of multiple genres. Jazz, folk, funk, soul and rock are woven into a rich tapestry of kaleidoscopic highland hip hop, awash with a summery haze of vintage sounds bound together by psychedelic silkworms and technological trickery.

For the last year the band have been working on their debut album Tropicaledonia; a fusion of many styles, drawing influence from a rich palette of folk, funk, blues and jazz whilst all the while steeped in the cut and paste traditions of hip hop. We hope the musical diversity of the record will appeal to a wide range of tastes as it draws from the varied backgrounds of all the band members and collaborators. Lyrically it’s a highland reportage on the human condition; detailing daily stresses, mental health, drinking culture and addiction, small town mentality, lampooning back stabbers and the foibles of the industry and pointing a clown gloved finger at toxic masculinity.

Live dates for 2018 include; 14th April – Album Launch party in Inverness, 1st June in Glasgow playing with the Twistettes in Machullis, 16th June at Wildwoodz festival, July 21st at Audiosoup festival, and August 31st at Lindisfarne Festival. More dates to be added as they come in.

Is this photo of the campsite before of after the festival??

This is the aftermath from CLEAN FIELDS last year, and the site is spotless! We thank all you clean field tickets holders for this, and please continue for 2018. If you are camping here this year, please remember the rules:

* Clean fields will be spotless when you arrive. Please keep it like that during the event and leave it that way when you leave.
* Everything you bring into Clean Fields, you must remove or dispose of in the appropriate bins provided.
* All camping equipment must be taken away from the festival or left at the gate in the charity compound – please don’t drop it in other camping areas.
* Spread the love – make friends with your camping neighbours and offer help to anyone who needs it (ie the first time tent builders)
* Keep an eye on your neighbour’s tent if they are absent
* Share your food and drink around
* Don’t allow under-aged people to drink alcohol
* Keep it peaceful – don’t keep your neighbours awake with bongos!

Happy Camping! ⛺

Thank you for clean fields, loved this last year & using again this year, shame it has to be segregated to ensure we can have a clean area. 🤔

We always camp in family camping with a big group of families and our spot is always left like that. Sadly so many around us can't be bothered and it is such a shame. The kids are always appalled at the end of every festival about the waste and laziness.

Where is the Clean Fields in relation to the family car parking? Do we need clean fields tickets for the kids?

Bella!! The warm glow festival!! 😊😊😊 xx

Is this a different ticket ?
