We just want acknowledge that the delays that everyone has experienced getting on site today do not reflect the high standards that we expect of ourselves.
We can assure you that we will be making a full and honest assessment of what has gone wrong this year with any of the elements we have control over, and what we need to change to ensure these issues never happen again.
As always we will be asking you to your honest feedback and suggestions as part of that process.

People instructing caravans and motorhomes where to park have not got a scooby doo.Getting vans to split into 3or 4 lanes then back into 1 is ridiculous. Will add extra money on to the tickets but you seriously need to get professionals to help people park up.

Each year a bigger event to get bigger revenue and profits.. local residents getting well hacked off. I anticipate many complaints. Stationary traffic on the A38 exit sliproad is very very dangerous. You could have kept this local resident sweet with a discounted day ticket but instead you can be assured of my complaint to the S. Derbs District Council instead.

Go to Bloodstock and learn how they do it

We got here at 12pm. I can honestly say, it's been the most hassle free approach to a festival site, and set up of campsite of any festival ever. A massive round of applause to you all. We're loving it here. I guess we got here at the right time. I've no idea what the problems are for the latecomers πŸ˜‚ ❀

Didn't come last year but i think there used to be different routes for cars and vans . Campervan entrance closed. At 10pm you cannot blame an incident that happened miles away, certainly not when we've passed that point 3 hours ago and are still queuing. Poor site traffic management appears to be here. Maybe get previous crews on the case

I turned around after moving half a mile in 45 mins. Please take some action to coordinate tomorrow's traffic better? This is my first BT and so far it's not been great.

Last year I left home 6pm - got to site by 7 and parked up by 7.15/’s really something I have never experienced here! Can there be more ways in going forward?

We’re still waiting in the queue, so please could you start that process now and put some more of your stewards on. It’s after 10pm and usually we are in and set up by half seven at the latest. Set off at exactly the same time as always.

Well chaps .. I suspect it's someone's fault .. roads are fine, it's getting from a38 onto site that seems to take hours and we are still parked up a mile or two off .. waiting

I love this festival. Thanks for letting us know that you're reviewing what didn't work well tonight so you can improve our experience for next year....much appreciated x

Yes it is their fault, total chaos, I am in a field so far away and after 4hrs sat in the car I can't even be bothered to go to the festival, which is a shame as I've waited that long to get here I have grown a beard and wanted to show it off......

FOR SALE AT COST- 2 Adult tickets for sale and 1 child ticket and car parking ticket. Will deliver within 20 miles of Derby but not within 2 miles of event (to avoid traffic)

I made the mistake of leaving the site this afternoon and was amazed by the length of queues on the surrounding roads and A38. Looking at the camp site it seemed like more people have arrived on the Thursday than previous years. I've given up coming back tonight. Whoevers fault it is, don't take it out on the stewards they're lovely and are doing their best.

I came with the proper festival mindset. Bollocks to work and societal bullshit. We rocked up at 12pm, and rolled in, set up camp, had a marvellous day on site. Moral of the story.... You snooze, you get stuck in traffic hell πŸ˜‚ Played for, earned, got, WINNING πŸ˜‰. All is love ❀✌️

We are coming tomorrow along with many, many more people. I expect maybe some small delay getting onto the site but hope the majority of issues from today can be rectified by then.....

For a start family campervan area would be good. We're two fields away and across a road with under 5s. You can't expect small kids to walk so far (or parents to drag trolleys, I really hope it doesn't rain and get muddy tomorrow ). Terrible organisation and lack of stewards, no kids wristbands available either. It's never been this bad before.

It was a pain, but it's done now. Only frustrating thing for us is that we waited to set off so we wouldn't be early, only to speak to a number of folk who were let in way before 1 πŸ˜’. Still going to be a great weekend though!! X

You closed your car parking tickets purchases over a week a go as I and others have tried to get does the hold up of paying for parking at Β£20 so I've heard as I and others are coming making a difference in speed of entry?

Stuff happens, we are only a mile away but have been stationary for the past 2 hours. Seeing some silly behaviour on the road from cars wanting to move faster and could get dangerous when we lose light. Please keep the updates coming πŸ‘

After 1 and a half hours queueing from the Alrewas a38 junction I have moved perhaps a mile. This is unacceptable. I've been to Bearded Theory numerous times before and never had problems before.

Always have an ace time at Bearded and a fab festival but a 2 hour is turning into 6 and a half hours and still waiting to get in,no movement at all on traffic.. gutted that were probably going to miss the first night of the festival when we would have been hear at tea time.sure the rest of the festival will be fab but please look into πŸ‘Œ

Honestly, I think you need more Campervan field parking Marshalls and split the 3 streams into different areas.

Drove 12 hours down from Kirriemuir took 4 hours to get in but what the hell its been a blast since. If everyone turns up trying to get in at 1 what else can you expect.

My wife Carol Harris and I walked 9 miles to the festival despite having a car park pass. However we got abused by passing motorists. Hopefully one less car helped ease the congestion a bit.

I'm driving past loads of gates with tonnes of campervan room around them and getting told... it's an exit gate. Well make it an entry gate , get some staff on it and get people in. Really gutted. Love Bearded never had this nightmare would seriously consider Knock next year.

We just wanted to update again with the latest info we have on the traffic situation. Multiple issues on the roads, including a police incident, a lorry stuck under a bridge on the A38, and a burst water main have all contributed to the ongoing delays you are experiencing getting onto site. We do truly understand your frustrations that these delays are causing and are getting everyone on site at our end as quickly as we possibly can.
Please do not be concerned about the gate closing time - if you are already en route and / or in a queue to get into the festival, we will ensure you get on site safely this evening!
Thank you for your patience.
Team Bearded.

as a local who goes past catton hall 5 days a week you lot are with out doubt the worst i have ever seen at traffic management the police incident, an accident that is also the same incident as the lorry -was prob caused by the tail back you have made you couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery never mind a festival get it together or dont bother coming back

You need more entrances. I live in Walton on Trent, and this is a massive problem for all the local resident who don’t even get a discounted day ticket! I will be making my complaints to the relevant council members. You might have a centrally located venue but access is not adequate. 😑

You seriously need to stop flagging the A38 when the biggest issue all day has clearly been your inability to get the campervans on. Young children in cars for hours in high temperature is pretty rubbish. Please be honest and clear - it helps.

This is now the worst festival que and probably the worst que I have ever been in . Not helped by the vintage camper (aka shed )van in front burning more oil than the Q E 2 and gassing us A94 . Glasto has never been this bad . BT sort it out before we all die!

What about local people just trying to get home to get their children! Very poor management

Have grown a beard before ya get there

Idiots. If you are going to hold an event playing loud music and annoying the locals, at least manage your traffic flows in and out. At least it will put people off coming next year.

For a relatively small festival this amount of queuing is crazy!! Definitely will not be coming again 😒

FOR SALE AT COST- 2 Adult tickets for sale and 1 child ticket and car parking ticket. Will deliver within 20 miles of Derby but not within 2 miles of event (to avoid traffic)

Honesty Bearded, we were queuing to get off A38 since 15:00, (3 1/2 hours ago) and for most of that time the outside lane was moving freely. The biggest delay has been getting into the site. (Still queuing). It was bad when we arrived last year, with 2 stewards doing wristbands and admitting vans onto the field 1 by 1. It then took almost an hour to be sited on the field. I just assumed that you were aware that the backlog was hours long and that you would have addressed it this year.

Just come past the first steward type I’d suggest Don’t hire the most obnoxious man In England as first point of contact. Why he needs to chat to every campervan for 5 mins instead of ushering them through (as the red sign says straight on) I’ll never know!!!! I can see exactly why it takes so long Anyway We nearly in .......

Load of bull, the only problem on the A38 was the tailback of traffic to the badly organised Bearded Theory Festival

WTG is going on now??? Whole day wasted. Missing the acts on now. Have been in queue within 1 mile of site for the last 2 hours plus. Sort it out you incompetent disorganised halfwits

Thanks for the update! Happy we will get in tonight! Can all the boring moaners camp on another site please!

Will we get a refund for missing all of the Thursday night music, and at the speed we are travelling maybe half of Fridays too

Bull. This level of delay can obligation be down to inefficiencies on site. I will get in, but I'd like my money back or free beer / food all weekend.

Walk your stewards up the rd and have them issue wrist bands to people qyueing. Very unsympathetic to this. Sat queuing for hours on the a38. Allocate more staff and get it sorted. As the chap above says, the lorry has caused not issues getting here.

Sat in the traffic queues for 3 and half hours and still not in yet. As others have said this is down to organisational incompetence NOT issues on the road

I agree that the cause is not down to external issues. The A38 was clear after the A513 junction. The queue is leading directly to Catton Hall. It is not helping just blaming others.

Agreed, didn’t see anything on the A38, and we have now been queueing in sight of the campervan field for over 90 minutes. Stewards are clueless

Bullshit. Less than a mile away and there is absolutely no movement

It’s all because you have messed up with staff bad organisation

Not happy. We turned back home because we were led to believe the curfew was fixed. Lost a night of our holiday.

Been sat in traffic 6 hours now and still not in

Sat on the A513.....waiting...... can we have an update please! And getting concerned about setting up in the dark with an autistic child in tow, and by this time last year there was already very little space in the disabled field
