Just seen the incredibly sad news about our brother Dan Wild-Beesley who passed away yesterday. He was obviously a big part of this weird little scene & ATG in general, having played every festival since 2013 (I think). All we can say is, thanks for the riffs big man, we shall be spinning the Cleft back catalogue in the office today & thinking of all the good times. 💔 Here he is crowdsurfing at the end of Cleft's final show at ATG 2016. You'll be sorely missed bro xxx

Great memories. Please rename a stage after Dan next year, he is greatly missed :(.

I'd never have come across Cleft without ATG, the first year I went, literally every band finished their set by saying "make sure you go and see Cleft" and they blew my mind. This year's Gug set was a brilliant emotional rollercoaster (I genuinely laughed and cried), and everything inbetween has been brilliant. So thanks for introducing me. I think having "The Dan Stage" would probably make him giggle, and be an absolutely fitting tribute.

Is there any footage of the Gug set this year? I was so gutted I couldn't go, I really wanted to see him again, especially after following him and Jessica over the past couple of years. Oh man 🙁

I only got to see Cleft once live. Their impact however is still with me. The live at ATG is constant on my play list. Think the Arc stage should be renamed Dan.

I was there and at the Cleft final gig in Manchester - he will be sorely missed!
