Fantastic, truly fantastic but agree with increased stage security, one incident on sat and another potential incident on sunday and for the second time it was The British Sign Language interpreter who saw him off

There needs to be improved stage security. On Saturday a teenage boy jumped over the barrier and onto the stage where he became bothersome to the drummer he was trying to talk to mid performance - The British Sign Language interpreter saw what had happened and frantically looked for stage security but there was none so the poor BSL interpreter was left to deal with a security situation.

First time going. Loved it. Cannot believe it's free. Keep the little gin / cocktail van!

L love it to bit the music was so much fun

More reggae music, shaded areas. It was great though.

MORE REGGAE ARTISTS . Although Horace Andy and Jah 9 were unreal bookings 🕺

Can't fault this festival, it's a free festival, great African music , loved it ❤️

I had a great time on Sunday, it was a bit cooler and less of a moody teenager selfie crush at the front. Like others have said the amount of rubbish and nitrous oxide canisters just thrown all over the floor on Saturday was disgraceful...not sure what you can do to make people show more respect for the park though. Great job cleaning up before Sunday! I felt it was much more noticeable this year. The music and shops were ace as usual although I was surprised to find some of the Artists CD's unavailable and the size of the music stand much smaller, saddened to hear it is likely their last year. A note for UK Events, some front light to help see the bands and a lighting operator that can be arsed would be good too...I've seen more life in a sick note 😂

I agree with Lyn, especially definitely more reggae music

Tables and chairs to seat down if needed. Shaded areas. More reggae music. Price of food was to high.. could be a little lower..

To the people asking for more reggae music 🙄 It's Africa Oye not Reggae Sunsplash 🙄 Mixed beats from Africa...... Listen and enjoy 💃🏾💯✔️ Amazing weekend....... Change nothing and keep on doing what you're doing 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾👌🏾❤️

More reggae music 😀

Liverpool. Once again you have outdone yourselves.

On a weekend of rain and shine (mostly SHINE we're happy to say!) you showed us more than ever why 'the best festival audience in the world' isn't just a slogan for us; it's 100% true.

We couldn't do this without you and we'd like to say a huge thank you to all our funders, sponsors, partners, supporters and friends.

We know you want to see our festival remain FREE as much as we do, so if you can become a 'Friend of Oyé' (tinyurl.com/friendofoye) or spare just £1, we would be very grateful if you'd head to africaoye.com and donate via the PayPal button in the top right - there is no minimum donation.

Whatever you can afford, it all helps us keep this festival free of charge and helps us spread the word throughout the year with the likes of our school/youth group workshops across Merseyside.

We hope you all had an amazing weekend and once again, THANK YOU ❤️
