We have sadly learnt that Binhan is no longer able to play the festival this summer due to visa issues.

But we are very pleased to announce that the wonderful Mim Suleiman has been added to the line-up!

Suleiman has been described as Mama Africa of the modern era. A boundary crossing performer, she reaches deep into her East African heritage to blend traditional Taarab vibes with dub, jazz, soul and funk.

Seems like you've found an excellent replacement but still sad that the UK government is making entrance for artists and everyone so much more difficult through their racist paranoia.

The Africa Oye annual musical event held is great musical event with purely African flavour. It attracts diverse people groups from all over the UK, even from other parts in Europe. A truly enjoyable 2 day event full of fun, laughter and provides the opportunity to meet friends having a good time too. I personally love seeing all the diverse diverse stalls with African products/goods, plus other range goods worth buying for yourself, children and family members you love. Anthony Madume
