Africa Oye Festival news: Click here to support School Build Mission to Senegal organized by Melanie Horstead

Latest update from Africa Oye Festival

Talibe Trust are building a self- sustainable school for 250 children in rural Senegal. They have been gifted the land to build on, have the costings for the school build, agricultural work and equipment and agricultural placements.

They are now looking to raise £5000 to enable their team: (project co-ordinator, two Agricultural Specialists from SAFAD, Cranfield University and a documentary reporter) to carry out necessary, preliminary work on the build site in rural Senegal for over 2 weeks in October. The funding will cover flights, geo-technical equipment, travel, food, and accomodation. They will be surveying the land, finalising plans with the community, liaising with the local authorities and building contractors.

We are building a self- sustainable school for 250 children in rural Senegal. We have been gifted the land to build on, we have costings for the school build, agricultural work and equipment and agricultural placements. We need to start building the school in the dry season in Senegal early 2018….
