A New Day Festival

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
We have just received this message from Roger Chapman's (former) agent:

"I am very sorry to be the bearer of bad news but after 20 years I have been sacked by Roger Chapman and he has informed me that he is no longer willing to do the Festivals later this year that he had previously confirmed with me.

No reason has been given for the parting of ways but despite my numerous efforts he is adamant that he is not going to do the Festivals.

I really cannot apologise enough."

So there you have it, he has pulled out and there's nothing to be done. Apologies for any disappointment, but it is beyond our control. Thankfully such an attitude is very rare.
We are talking to several suitable replacements and hope to announce very soon.

Bugger...what a dreadful situation...so bad to be let down.

Fine by me never liked the old bugger anyway

KIT Kurtis n the 3 bs! soul n blues ! local n a lot cheaper,!!!

Buggery bollocks! Of all the acts I was looking forward to in this year's line up, they were right up there!

Seven Impale from Norway! can get you in touch...

Chappy is a bit of s foul mouthed yob on stage. This festival would definitely suit Hillage and gong if finances allow

Bump everybody up and give an emerging band a slot as an opener.

Son of MAN ??

Jeff Beck is touring

Shame☹️ How about Roger Hodgson? 10cc ? XTC ( do they still gig ) CSN ( a good copy band?) still a shame tho’ 😥

Dare are out and about gigging again, cambridge rock fest.Rock of ages in Germany.Get Darren Wharton and the boys, magnificent live

How about ‘Blues Pills’ or ‘Uriah Heep’ as a replacement

Who is Roger Chapman

Such a shame, I was really looking forward to seeing him. I take it Martin Barre is elsewhere?

You can't go wrong with Uriah Heep...again 😊

IO Earth or Peatbog Faeries or Gong ?.

Tom Hickox! Please xxx

MOTHER BLACK CAP could step in 😉(well, no harm in asking)

Uriah Heep? Suzi Quatro?

Otway & Barrett

Franck Carducci Band?

Get New Model Army back. Or Barock Project or Lifesigns 🙂

Jethro Tull 😊

I've got to be honest and say the last time I saw him, I thought his voice had gone. 🤔

Slade, sweat, Lindisfarne, family are the reason I was attending again

A New Day Festival

A New Day August 28-30, Faversham, Kent. IMPORTANT NEWS!
Hi everyone.
It is with some regret that we have had to cancel our planned Thursday evening start to A New Day 2020.
Having received feedback from local people and our landlords, we have accepted the fact that to proceed on the Thursday would upset and/or inconvenience many local residents, and rather than lose the incredible goodwill that we have had over the years, thereby possibly jeopardising future festivals, we will have to revert to the 3 day format.
We apologise for any inconvenience to those who have bought Thursday or 4 day tickets, and of course full refunds will be issued as soon as possible. Bands that were booked for Thursday have been moved to other days (See poster), so you won't miss anything.
The campsite will still be open on Thursday, as well as the bar, where we will have some acoustic entertainment. Some food stalls will also be open, so we look forward to a very pleasant, relaxed chill-out evening. This, of course, is only open to campers on Thursday.
It's not all bad news, however; we are DELIGHTED to announce the addition to the weekend line-up of STEVE HARLEY & COCKNEY REBEL, John Lees' BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST, the fabulously talented duo WHEN RIVERS MEET, currently making waves up and down the country and David Ellis from RAZORLIGHT!
Earlybird Tickets are still available online or mail order via our website, which is being updated currently. Sadly prices must rise very soon so grab them while you can.
Tickets will also be in our usual shop outlets by the end of the month.
We hope to see you in August 😊 Please SHARE this post with your friends and help us spread the news… we need your support!

A New Day Festival

This is a bit odd, because Kaprekar's Constant are NOT playing A New Day! But only because I discovered them too late for this year. Just a heads up to plug a truly amazing album, "Depth of Field". If you like Prog you really should check it out. ...
