Over the last month we have been working hard on our Covid guidelines based on the latest government rules. Thank you all for your patience in waiting for an announcement.

Following yesterday’s government announcement to end mandatory Covid passports for larger events, we have been in discussion with the venue about the best way to proceed. As Covid passports are no guarantee of current Covid status (only of vaccine status) we have decided not to continue with this on a voluntary basis.

Instead we will be requesting that all attendees (performers, staff and ticket holders) take a lateral flow test in the 24 hours before arrival to confirm negative status. This will not be subject to formal checks by festival staff, however we trust that everyone will understand the need for this request and prioritise the safety of the festival community and venue staff and crew. If you register a positive test or display symptoms of Covid you should not travel to the festival.

A policy of personal responsibility, trust and community-mindedness was used for our Outcider Festival in August and was hugely successful. This event will be of a similar size and most attendees are known to us personally. We therefore fully believe in the collective ability to act safely and responsibly.

Within the venue itself we are operating the following measures to maximise safety:

– A restricted capacity compared to previous years’ In Ciders. This will allow more space in key areas (e.g. dancefloor, restaurant) while promoting an intimate festival atmosphere.
– Extra seating capacity around the main dancefloor.
– Extra ventilation where required through the opening of outside doors / windows.
– Regular and rigorous cleaning of the venue by trained and experienced staff. Sand Bay Holiday Village has been open throughout post-lockdown periods and has strict cleaning procedures in place.
– Tables in the music / entertainment rooms and restaurant to be cleaned when vacated.
– Hand sanitising points around the site.
– Drinks will be served from the bar into disposable cups. You are welcome to then dispense these into your own personal Fuelled By Cider festival pint cup, however bar staff will not be serving directly into them to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Sand Bay is a spacious and well-ventilated venue which lends itself to safe, well-managed events. We encourage people to respect the personal space of other attendees. The wearing of face masks continues to be encouraged when in close contact with other people.

We are committed to running a successful event where neither fun nor safety are compromised. The show must go on, as they say, but it will go on with everyone’s welfare in mind. Please direct message us with any further questions.

The fun starts very soon! 🙂

  1. Will we be able to get Fulled by Cider cups, to dispense into?

That all seems reasonable and sensible. Can’t wait for our somewhat delayed 3rd Incider 🙂

Can I please just get a reply about my tickets!

  4. Tina Reed says:

I’ve been waiting 2 years for this, I’m so excited 🤣🍻

  5. Nicki Castle says:

A slightly embarrassing question as I’m worried I might have deleted an email but have the tickets been emailed to us? Tickets were purchased an extremely long time ago…..!!!
    We can’t wait 😁
