Leading up to tomorrow’s announcement of the first Talks on the Heartland 2023 programme, we are pleased to present the first podcast from the Heartland 2022 Talks programme.
In front of an enthusiastic audience, American political activist, writer, and professor Angela Davis talked with British journalist and author of “Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race”, Reni Eddo-Lodge. The two discuss the concept of abolition. They investigate how abolitionism is not simply a strategy of abolishing oppressive laws and structures but actually holds a restorative potential of rethinking and thus creating meaningful change.
