Marketing & Promotional Strategies and Branding
January 22, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Todays session as part of the Ladders Programme is led by TICE Enterprise Mentor Lee Casey, self – confessed marketing geek and hashtag fan! Lee will give you an overview of the 4 P’s in marketing which become the basis of all strategic marketing plans and a look at which media platforms are relevant to you and your business including Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Instagram. Plus a consideration towards traditional media channels too, people still do read Newspapers and Magazines! If you know your target customer (we are mentioning Research here again aren’t we?) then identifying which platforms to use and how they can help you plan an effective marketing campaign is in your sights. Lee has created successful marketing campaigns and communication strategies for a number of regional small businesses as well as providing training in the use of digital platforms to small business owners.
The Importance of Branding.
You have your business idea and now you need a visual identity to create a point of recognition for your target consumer, a logo people can recognise, relate too and ultimately recommend! A good logo goes beyond being simply memorable as it represents the brand you are about to create, using across the media platforms to help with advertising and adopting on your business stationary too! Within the creative and digital industries a great logo is key and it is worth considering seeking specialist help to make sure you get this element right, building in an initial investment into logo design into your business plan isn’t as costly as you might think!
Hollie Ellis is a freelance graphic designer specialises in branding, logo design and print design and works with a range of small businesses. Joining us for a practical session in helping you achieve the right look for your business and help create a brand identity Hollie will have lots of examples of what to do and what not to do!
