7.00pm: The Hard Times Orchestra
The Hard Times Orchestra will get your feet tapping and your hearts thumping. With influences ranging from Bessie Smith, via Cab Calloway to Blossom Dearie, the Orchestra features: Jacqui Wicks (vocals, ukulele), Richard Ormrod (clarinet, accordion, drums, and trombone), Jonny Flockton (banjo, guitar).
8.30pm: The Mile Roses
Kate Bramley, Simon Haworth and Kari Macleod are three singer-songwriters who together make contemporary British folk trio The Mile Roses, whose original songs and close harmonies are quickly building them a great reputation in the UK folk scene.
Yemi Bolatiwa, lead singer of Pareidolia, The Exacters and neo-soul singer of the Manchester circuit brings her brand new electro-soul project to Coastival. Expect cool downtempo breakbeats, neo-soul style and upbeat flavours of bass-influenced music.
