Hands Off Gretel – www.facebook.com/handsoffgretel
Alt rock bands Hands Off Gretel have been intent on creating a name for themselves in their brief two-year history as a band. They have fast secured a promising live reputation with their compelling live performances, including; 2 full UK tours and playing some of the major U.K festivals including, Whitby Goth Weekend, Download, Isle of Wight, Rebellion and a capacity crowd at the Underground, as part of this years Camden Rocks Festival.
The South Yorkshire based band, described by some, as new wave grunge, bring a welcome dose of originality to the UK music scene. Louder than War describe them as “One of the most exciting bands in the UK’. Following release of their debut album ‘Burn The Beauty Queen’ in Sept 2016, they secured airplay on Team Rock Radio, Kerrang radio and BBC Sheffield introducing and a video premiere with The US’s Alternative Press.
Epitomising what a DIY band can achieve, Hands Off Gretel are arguably one of the most creative artists around. Lead singer, Lauren Tate, produces the bands music videos, designs the website and creates all the bands merchandise and tour posters. Original artwork, clay models, jewellery and a self produced demo album were just some of the things created by Lauren and sold via the bands website to crowd fund their debut album. The band have a huge online following from around the world, with over 20k followers across their social media profiles.
2017 see them heading to Germany on their first European tour, before heading back into the studio at the end of the year to record their second album.
The Angelo Tristan Band – www.facebook.com/angelotristanmusic
The Angelo Tristan Band blend energy and emotion within every show they do. Angelo tries to connect with his audience with his lyrics and story telling that are indistinctly contained within each song, along with stadium style guitar solos and harmonies.
This brings you a show that is packed with indescribable passion and will leave you shivering with inspiration.
Tokyo Taboo – www.facebook.com/TokyoTaboo
Tokyo Taboo hope to bring their own brand of modern pop punk kicking and screaming into the public consciousness.
Featuring hectic, heart-pounding hooks and soaring rock-inspired vocals, Tokyo Taboo cover a range of subjects on the album, which was recorded in Downtown LA. From Dolly’s quarter life crisis to politics and vulnerability, they aren’t afraid of smashing the expectations of ‘the industry’ whilst wearing their hearts on their sleeves – cuts, bruises, tears and all.
Chasing Ghosts – www.facebook.com/Cghostsmusic
Five strangers brought together with the sole purpose to produce music that the rock scene deserves. Every element formed by the band, without compromise. Songs about fear and courage, grace and evil, darkness and light are presented side by side. A band who venture into a state where sadness survives to shine a light on the darkest corners of human existence. These are songs for broken people……
Trident Waters – www.facebook.com/Trident-Waters-987208894645478
Serving up highly charged, hard-edged rock tracks, this is a band to watch out for. Please take some time to get to know the bands music and see them live (as this is where the magic happens).
