Breaking Bands Festival VI (2020) – The Future Vision
Sunday, May 24, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - Monday, May 25, 2020 @ 12:00 am UTC+0
With Breaking Bands Festival 5 barely underway, the organisers are going full throttle with a 10 band announcement for 2020, with a theme of vision on the agenda (2020 and year 6 aka VI).
The organisers have announced special guests for Sunday night will be NECK LondonIrish PsychoCeilídh, a six-piece ‘Psycho-Ceilídh’ band juxtaposing perfectly the swirling, spiritual abandon of authentic Traditional Irish music with the electric energy blast of a full-on, pumped-up-to-feck Punk band and in the process, distilling the sound of two other mighty London rebel bands, The Clash & The Pogues, & ‘carrying the torch on’ with their own, unique London-Irish brew!
Headlining Friday night in true BBFest fashion and bringing chaos back to Bromsgrove is a band that appeared the very first year and caused one of the first ever BBFest family bonding moments and set the bar high! Metal, mirth and merriment await as we welcome back Hærken.
Flying over from Australia are lager swigging, rock and rolling, mad as a box of frogs Massive. Dendera make a welcome first appearance along with Cornwall’s finest KING CREATURE. Birmingham’s answer to Iron Maiden take the short trip down the M5 as we finally get The Mighty Wraith to Bromsgrove. The SYKKO DOLLZ fronted by the very talented Gaz Harris give us a super huge dollop of sleaze and to accompany them are fellow sleaze rockers DEAR SUPERSTAR! Official Page hailing from Manchester.
With tones of Thunder, Slash and Black Stone Cherry, you’d be hard pushed to find anything more exiting from Cambridgeshire than the awesome Hollowstar. And to finish off this round up of bands, we are very excited to be bringing Rob Wylde of the awesome Tigertailz to Stoke Prior with his other band Midnite City. Take nothing away from them, they are what is good about hair metal in their own right and will be sure to blow the roof off the stage at next years festival.
Once again, advance ticket sales have gone crazy with over 50% of all tickets at the new increased capacity sold within the first 3 days of sale. The tickets are on sale at http://www.breakingbandsfestival.com
Band applications open on 30th June 2019 via the website for those interested in playing next year.
