Trapper Schoepp in an enthralling songwriter with a genuine knack for Dylanesque observational twists.
So it’s perhaps not surprising that he managed to draw himself to the attention of Bob’s legal team after he cheekily rounded off an old, unfinished Dylan ditty. ‘On, Wisconsin‘ was originally conceived back in 1961, and when the manuscript came up for sale a few years back, Trapper added a few extra words and some music.
What he would never have expected was that the legal beagles message was a request that he accept co-writing credits on the song.
We saw Trapper at the start of the Skinny Lister 2019 tour down in Brighton, and tonight, in Camden, he reaffirmed our faith in his ability to deliver a perfect set of beautifully polished songs with energy and integrity.
