Here's my son's Lego Idea he built so I could still go to Glastonbury this year (that's me with the orange scarf). We hope you like it 😀 ideas.lego.com/challenges/8e778633-2524-42d0-b3f8-3b1921b2dbdc/application/f0ee970e-5564-4403-a56...

We're up to 580 people! Please share this event far and wide so we can get lots more joining and get the attention of the official Glastonbury festival - the bigger we get the more likely we will be able to get some of this year's line up to perform and the more money we can raise to help those who are suffering the most because of lockdown - all we have to do is camp out at home and watch online! Let's go! 🎪🎸🎡🎤🤹‍♀️☀️🌳✨ www.facebook.com/events/243621583489596/

I've never been to Glastonbury really wish I could get a ticket

We are so sorry to announce this, but Glastonbury 2020 will have to be cancelled, and this will be an enforced fallow year for the Festival.

Clearly this was not a course of action we hoped to take for our 50th anniversary event, but following the new government measures announced this week - and in times of such unprecedented uncertainty - this is now our only viable option.

We very much hope that the situation in the UK will have improved enormously by the end of June. But even if it has, we are no longer able to spend the next three months with thousands of crew here on the farm, helping us with the enormous job of building the infrastructure and attractions needed to welcome more than 200,000 people to a temporary city in these fields.

We would like to send our sincere apologies to the 135,000 people who have already paid a deposit for a Glastonbury 2020 ticket. The balance payments on those tickets were due at the beginning of April and we wanted to make a firm decision before then.

We understand that it is not always easy to secure a Glastonbury ticket, which is why we would like to offer all those people the chance to roll their £50 deposit over to next year, and guarantee the opportunity to buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2021. Those who would prefer a refund of that £50 will be able to contact See Tickets in the coming days in order to secure that. This option will remain available until September this year. For those who are happy to roll their deposit over, that will happen automatically. Further information - including details on rolling over coach packages, official accommodation bookings and local Sunday tickets - will be added to our website in the coming days.

The cancellation of this year's Festival will no doubt come as a terrible blow to our incredible crew and volunteers who work so hard to make this event happen. There will also inevitably be severe financial implications as a result of this cancellation - not just for us, but also the Festival's charity partners, suppliers, traders, local landowners and our community.

We were so looking forward to welcoming you all for our 50th anniversary with a line-up full of fantastic artists and performers that we were incredibly proud to have booked. Again, we're so sorry that this decision has been made. It was not through choice. But we look forward to welcoming you back to these fields next year and until then, we send our love and support to all of you.

Michael & Emily

Wow, such a tough decision. Best wishes to all involved in putting it together.

We understand how hard it’s been for you to make this decision but you’re doing the best thing to keep everyone safe! Roll on 2021! It’s going to be a hell of a party 😁

Absolutely devastated but the rationale and intention is right, you have done the responsible thing. Thank you so much for allowing is to roll over the deposit for 2021

Absolutely the right decision which I'm sure has not been taken lightly. Stay safe and well peeps and see you next year xxx

100% behind this difficult decision and with it, looking after the safety and health of all people. See you in 2021! Good luck and good health to all ❤️

Please leave your deposits in the system. This is going to hit so many people so hard

Absolutely understand, thank you for making a brave decision and we look forward to joining you again on the farm next year. All the best to the whole Glasto team 😘😘😘

Good decision and it will still be the 50th festival next year! Yes we will miss working with the green crafts village and yes we will miss all our festival family.. but let’s enjoy looking forward to the future rather than take risks in the present xxx edit: I’ve had my correction.. it’s not the 50th festival.. it’s the 50th year..

You could use that year to work on the lineup

Please please please ask the BBC, to upload all last years concerts onto BBC iplayer again and on the same dates planned for 2020, so we can relive that magical festival once more.

Well done for the ticketing options for the next event. It seems silly to risk the health of everyone who builds the festival site. Perhaps there's something in place to help out the workers who rely on events like Glastonbury to pay their bills? Is there anything us - the punters - and you, the organisers, can do to help the thousands of self employed who will struggle to make ends meet now?

Dreadfully sad but absolutely the right decision. Stay safe everyone and isolate ASAP. It’s the only way to stop this ❤️

Totally the right decision, I'd expect nothing less from the best festival in the world. Deciding to let tickets roll over has helped this situation massively. Thank you Glastonbury!

Absolutely correct decision to carry tickets over! This was meant to be our honeymoon but our weddings also been cancelled. Roll on 2021 ✌🏼

We knew this was coming, we knew you had no choice but it's still so sad. Thanks for the fantastic decision to allow deposits to be carried over. Hope the entire festival family and crew stay safe and we will see you in 2021 x

Totally the correct decision given the uncertainty of everything and the huge amount of work and people that are required to put on the worlds best festival. Am glad we can defer to 2021 and will make it an even bigger 50th party. Thoughts are with the Evis family, all at Worthy Farm and everyone involved. See you in 2021

I really hope people are in a position to roll their expenses over to next year. The impact this has and will have in this industry is massive. Supporting events will help continue the longevity in the future. ❤️

Gutted it’s had to be cancelled - but the fact we can’t go to it this year is insignificant compared to the issues some people are facing right now. But thank you Glastonbury for being fair and allowing us with tickets to roll them over to next year.

Thank you for all you do, GUTTED beyond belief but totally understand. Thank you also for letting us carry our tickets over to next year, that is a lot of pressure off going through the ticket process again. Sending you all lots of luv and hugs xxx

I didnt get a ticket, but i think its brilliant you are honouring those with tickets to use them next year.....great stuff....👏👏👏👏👏

Sad but totally understandable. The ticket rollover option really appreciated, thank you.

Thank you Emily and Michael. We are all saddened but we respect your choice. Also thank you so much for honouring our tickets this has made the cancellation of the festival 100% more bearable thank you. See you next year ❤

Completely understand you making this decision, thank you so much for honouring tickets for next year. Sending best wishes to all involved in this amazing festival. Looking forward to 2021 ❤️

LOVE TO THE FARM! 💓 As sad as it is! A difficult but very responsible decision to be made! For those that have tickets! It’s not cancelled it is postponed! Your still going to glasto! But in 2021! It’s guaranteed!!! No nail biting stress no panic on an October Sunday morning trying to get tickets! You can all sit back! Now! Relax stay well and look forward to GLASTO 2021 🥳

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for honouring us the chance to come next year-we cannot believe how much work and worry this must have involved.......Glasto is such an important part of our lives and we so look forward to 2021 X

You don’t go to Glastonbury If you’re a music fan wanting to see as many acts as possible. You to go Glastonbury to pretend you’re a music fan.

This will be my 2nd time at Glasto and first time was amazing. Best festival I’ve been to by a mile and I’ve been to lots. Obviously the bands playing helps but the festival will be amazing whatever. I was more excited with it being the 50th so my expectations around the line up were high and to be honest it’s not a great line up at all. Glasto will be amazing but would have been better had the line up been better.

With what’s going on at the moment I have a feeling this is like one of those Bullseye moments of “let’s have a look at what you could’ve won.” Either going to have to look at changing the date or consider it may not be happening at all this year sadly.

A line up this weak makes me hope for corona cancellation.

The amount of people bloody whingeing. Can you all just stop pissing on peoples bonfires? There's enough miserable shite going on right now.

3 solo acts headlining. Pretty ridiculous to not have an actual band as one of the headliners

I wouldn't bother arguing about the lineup. This won't be happening anyway.

If you’re a whiner please sell your ticket so somebody deserving can appreciate the beautiful festival for what it is. If you haven’t got a ticket, it’s got nothing to do with you anyway. Stay at home, listen to your iPod and eat your sour grapes while we are singing, dancing and crying with joy.

At least there is no Coldplay that a big plus

If the festival is cancelled this year let's hope they follow suit with the advice from all the other festivals, in that they will allow people to transfer tickets to next year. If they don't it will be a disgrace

I’m looking forward to going , but disappointing line up for the headliners, lots of great bands though . 😉

GILBERTO GIL AND FAMILY 🇧🇷

When the world is surrounded in chaos we get given this as the 50th anniversary line up??

Crap line up especially as it’s their 50th anniversary. Congrats on making this flyer readable 😜😂

Hopefully all the rock bands will be on the next line up announcement ✌

Well done for listening to feedback about the line up poster format.

Great lineup! Hope Bombay Bicycle Club get added

Given that Glastonbury are celebrating 50 years this is probably the worst line up I’ve seen in the past 10 years. I wouldn’t worry though. Be surprised if it’s not cancelled anyway with this Coronavirus

All these people moaning about the line up! Theres so much more to do/see than go the main stages. Think i only saw 6 acts at the main stages last time and had the best time ever. At least all these people moaning should return their tickets and give the chance to people who missed out. I personally think it's a good genre spreading lineup and I have my tickets so will be looking forward to the best wknd of the year . (Finger crossed it still happens)

The addition of Herbie Hancock alone makes this a superior line up to any of the others over the past decade

To be honest I think it’s quite a poor line up but I think as it’s the 50th they didn’t have to make too much of an effort but I think the big one will be next year and so I’ve heard it’s 70% newbie’s this year, see how many will want to return especially after using the long drops 😂

Right. When Glasto started 50 years ago, the acts they booked were current acts relating to the majority age of people attending, which was young hippies (and a few old ones). If people then had banged on about the music being too current, the alternative would have been to drag out Vera Lynn as a headliner and the Beverley Sisters. Us oldies can’t have it our way and expect Glastonbury to grow and be successful and attract future generations if they bring in a whole load of legend type acts. Grow with Glasto, appreciate we had it good 50 years ago but let go and let the new generation continue to make this place an extraordinary success. And be grateful that the younger generations are being influenced to have social conscience about the many things this festival stands for. Inclusivity. Tolerance. Age no limits. Oh and in 30 years’ time, it’s likely people will be moaning about Stormzy being wheeled out for the Legends slot as they’re queuing for their vitamin infusion drips.

The festival should be cancelled in the interests of public health. It's a huge shame but peoples lives are more important.

I wouldn't pay that kinda money to see any of those acts...!!!! It's supposed to to be a special anniversary..!!! And its very likely, that it will be cancelled anyway.... 👌👍

I can’t see how that’s a bad line up. It looks like a standard something for everyone glasto line up to me.

So, after much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020.

As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so. No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth!

As always this is just a taste of what is to come, we plan to announce many more artists and attractions, area by area, over the coming weeks leading up to the full line-up in May.

In the meantime we post this with much love to all.

You can see a non-circular version of the artwork - and full text list - over on our website, at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/

Possibly the worst poster I have ever seen

Cant see it going ahead....hope I'm proved wrong but if the virus continues to grow dont think I will be.

Your positivity and honestly is much much needed in this crazy world right now and it’s certainly given me a real boost after a hard day finally accepting this horrid situation! Hope to see you beautiful soul. There’s no place I’d rather be!!!!!!! xx

I hope it goes ahead. Not looking likely at the moment. There's always next year. I may be lucky enough to get a ticket then 😗😗

That poster is headache inducing. Great lineup but that layout is brutal!

F*****g brilliant line up, the best in several years... way to go Glastonbury! (Please go ahead!)

Fingers crossed we can all be there. What a headf*"k that poster is to read though.

Poster reminds me of one of the most underrated bands and albums of the 00’s,The Music. They deserve a slot just for ripping off their album cover. As always line up is great but second behind the fact that it really is the greatest show on earth!

Worst festival poster ever. Death core festival posters are easier to read than this cartwheel. Nice line up though 🤙🏼🔥

McCartney, Supergrass, Manics, Fontaines DC, Squid, Beth, Happy Mondays, Scream, Olsen. Poor line up again.

Last time I checked I didn’t read in the style of a washing machine. Ridiculous

Probably the shittest line up in the history of Glastonbury

Going to say it one last time you had the chance to have the legendary Stevie Nicks and her band of merry men play and ended up with Taylor Swift. Please just think about that.

What a ridiculous design for a poster, I gave up after two cycles! Maybe it’s an attempt to deflect from a less than wonderful anniversary line up?! 🤔

Thats the worst line up I've seen in 50 years and I'm not exaggerating! It will still be class, but it would have been nice to have one massive act to look forward to.

The worst line up in its history on the worst poster in its history.

LETS PRAY ITS CANCELLED... THE LINE UP WILL HAVE A WORSE OUTCOME THAN CORONA VIRUS.

Quite possibly the most annoying line up poster EVER 🧐

This is the shittest festival poster I've ever seen, dizzy now.

In the case this year's festival has to be cancelled, please consider transferring 2020 tickets to 2021. People have put a great amount of time and money into going this year, so it would help out a lot to assure they will be able to go eventually in case of cancellation.

Not my favourite lineup by any means. I missed out on tickets this year but would still love to be there. One of the greatest experiences in my life was to be at Glastonbury. I hope to be back again and take my 5 year old daughter. She just loves music regardless of who is playing. Glastonbury has so much more to offer including meeting other people who just go to get away from reality and embrace all forms of music and art. If you are lucky enough to have a ticket have an awesome time.

Piss off all harbingers of doom! If you don’t like the lineup and it matters that much to you - don’t go! The poster is a record...link....music...get it? I think it’s fab they have put a message out to slow down the ridiculous speculation we’ve got going on - like they said, who knows? But let’s not give up!

Can someone please put it in a list format!!! Dyslexic nightmare!!

Great line up Just disappointed that I couldn’t get a ticket this year. But I hope everyone has a good time because Glastonbury is the best festival

Again.... It's been awhile since....

He?! Worlds first Lana's a fella

She could bore the leg off a chair.

ive heard of her obviously, but being old thought probably not for me. Wrong! Shes She’s done some very good stuff, hope she doesn’t clash with one of my must see’s.

Well that will be boring, she'll sing the cows to sleep 😴

This is not fantastic. Personally, I cannot abide her.

Looks like I'll be bringing some additional Lithium on to the farm this year

How about this for a days line up, rioke traore, Laura mvula, haim, the xx, Alabama Shakes, florence and the machine.

She was great before. Moody music. Barefoot. Hippy dress. Smoking a cig. I thought she was mesmerising.

I was so looking forward to seeing her at Glastonbury last time but jeez what a let down.So boring

was awful at latitude. Everyone left

Will Glastonbury even be on this year what with the Corona virus ?

Since Emily started taking over the bookings.....nose dive #ruiningit

Lana Del NOPE 😴😴😴

Hope the sound is better than at Latitude last year - Lana was dreadful

Was it as the other headliner? She's good like but still waiting for some big band announcement

Nina Hoang Maria Elf Kasia Wawrynek Chloe Le Roy oooo baby

Fantastic more summer time sadness writes songs sing most are pop girls she is the real deal

I've seen her at Sziget Festival . It was the worst concert I've ever seen on the main stage. That's definitely not the place where she belongs.

Em qual dia?

Amy Munro lana playing glasto main stage

In other news Paul McCartney's also headlining, much better💕💕💕💕💕

Wolf Alice?

Kendrick Lamar will be Friday headliner, you heard it here first! (Or probably a number of other places first 😂)

  1. Glasto is the king (or Queen!) of festivals ❤️👑 it really doesnt matter who plays, the whole little world they create for 1 week every year is fukin magical 🦋✨

  2. Karl Young, Trevor Power, easier time read than the circle, it’s not the best lineup I’ve seen, but still enough I’d like to see to focus me on resale. If it goes ahead…

  3. Oh dear, other than the obvious legends and a couple of decent acts, this is a bit of a let down for a 50th Anniversary, hope the 2nd wave of line up improves for the punters, lot different to their 40th anniversary, how time changes I guess.

  4. so wish I could go but wish everyone who can & does a wonderful time. Glastonbury is a whole life experience – not just somewhere to see bands. Thank you to the Eavis family for my happy memories. In my day we could drive in and park your car next to your tent – happy festival all x

  5. For the 50th birthday this is an awful lineup apart from paul McCartney and diana Ross. There should definitely be more legends here. Correct me if I’m wrong but I dont think black sabbath have ever headlined and they are touring this year.

  6. My only problem is that the musical genius/legend that is Herbie Hancock is not top of the list!!
Pretty excited to see him play though, nice one #Glastonbury a most excellent booking👌

  7. To be honest I think it’s quite a poor line up but I think as it’s the 50th they didn’t have to make too much of an effort but I think the big one will be next year and so I’ve heard it’s 70% newbie’s this year, see how many will want to return especially after using the long drops 😂

  8. Isn’t it more about discovering new bands and music as well rather than seeing what you already like. Went last year and came away with some really good new music, some different opinions on artists and some clarification of n bands. I’d have happily sat at the Park Stage with a beer soaking up the atmosphere.

  9. With what’s going on at the moment I have a feeling this is like one of those Bullseye moments of “let’s have a look at what you could’ve won.” Either going to have to look at changing the date or consider it may not be happening at all this year sadly.

  13. Seems like the whiners know what good music is and the non-whiners don’t. Makes sense. For a 50th anniversary, this is a mediocre lineup. People should be disappointed.

  14. This will be my 2nd time at Glasto and first time was amazing. Best festival I’ve been to by a mile and I’ve been to lots. 15. I must assume those not up for this years lineup have either never been or “bitters” that couldn’t get tickets. I could elaborate but those who’ve been will know exactly what I mean and those going for the first time will understand once they’ve been ……If it actually goes ahead this year. Fingers crossed!
