We are devastated to hear the news of Joey Jordison’s passing.
We remember Joey as a true Download icon and his unforgettable appearance filling in for Lars Ulrich during Metallica’s 2004 headline set will go down in the festival’s history.
As a founding member of Slipknot, his incredible influence to our world is immeasurable and will be felt for years to come.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends and bandmates at this time. R.I.P 🖤

Metallica songs sounded much better with Joey on drums!
Was there in 2004. At the time felt a little cheated by a short set but later realised I saw something special very much thanks to the late Joey Jordison, what an amazing drummer he was. RIP Joey 🤘

I’m so sad by this news. I saw Slipknot twice, and Murderdolls, and the Slipknot Glasgow 2008 gig, managing to do front row the whole time, is one of my best ever gigs.

This was my first ever concert, very magical to me. I remember seeing Slipknot that day and after HIM finished got to see the last two Metallica songs with Joey. Regret not seeing Dimebag that day. RIP
