The shoes were part of his A/W 2010 collection
A pair of Kanye West’s defunct Pastelle trainer line have gone up for sale.
The rare shoes, like the rest of the rapper’s planned Pastelle range, were never released to the public.
Now, a pair of sneakers that were intended to be released as part of an A/W 2010 collection have been put up for sale online. Model Gio Mitchell is selling the shoes for $5000 (£3,830), describing them as “a piece of fashion and music history”.
A tag on the light grey, suede shoes states that they were produced on June 25, 2009 and are a men’s size nine. Mitchell said they had “never been worn but have some discolouration due to ageing. They were manufactured in 2009 and are the only pair in existence.”
The sole of the right shoe features the phrase: “The past tells everything.”
Meanwhile, West will reportedly be making a string of regular appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Last month (March 31), the rapper made his debut appearance in the show’s “confessional” segments in an episode that focused on a feud between him and a long-term friend.
It was also recently confirmed that the star will take part in this year’s Coachella festival, which takes place in Indio, California over April 12-14 and April 19-21. West was originally planned to headline the event but pulled out before the line-up was announced.
Now, he will bring his Sunday Service sessions series to the festival on Easter Sunday. The sessions see him perform soulful takes on old material, while he has also used them to debut new tracks.
