The ‘Quiz’ star posted the worrying message last night.
US rapper Cupcakke has reportedly been taken to hospital after telling fans that she was about to commit suicide.
The ‘Quiz’ star sparked concern on Monday evening after posting the worrying message on Twitter. In a separate post on Instagram, she shared the original tweet alongside the caption “Thank you for everything y’all have done for me, I really appreciate it.”
But after a huge outpouring of support for the rapper, whose real name is Elizabeth Harris, comedian Elijah Daniel has now confirmed that she’s been hospitalised in Chicago.
Daniel, who is thought to be close friends with the star, wrote: “Chicago Police got to Elizabeth’s place and she has been taken to a hospital. I don’t have any further details beyond that, but will update when i do.”
He added: “I’ve never felt so relieved and sad at the same time,
@CupcakKe_rapper i love you more than you’ll ever know. you’re one of the sweetest souls ive ever had the pleasure of knowing, and you’re not leaving us. we won’t let it happen.”
Responding to Harris’ original post, one fan described her as a “beautiful soul.”
“From the bottom of my heart I hope you’re ok, I know how hard life can be sometimes but your life means so much. You are a beautiful soul please don’t do this. You deserve so much love and happiness. There are so many people who love you, stay strong,’ they wrote.
The rapper, who released fourth album ‘Eden’ in November last year, was originally due to be touring the UK this week – with a show scheduled in Birmingham last night. The dates have since been pushed back to March, although it’s unknown whether they’ll still go ahead.
