NME Festival blog: Justin Timberlake confirmed for BRIT Awards 2018 performance

The Man Of The Woods is heading back to the UK…

Justin Timberlake has been confirmed as the latest performer for the BRIT Awards 2018, joining a stellar bill that already includes the likes of Foo Fighters, Stormzy and Dua Lipa.

The pop icon will make his return to the ceremony on Wednesday 21 February, his first UK performance after  the upcoming release of fourth solo album Man Of The Woods on February 2.

We are honoured to have an artist of Justin’s stature and relevance performing at this year’s BRIT Awards”, BRITs Chairman & CEO and Chairman of Sony Music UK & Ireland Jason Iley said.

“He is one of the most exciting artists in the world with success spanning more than two decades and is adored by music fans across the globe.

“The BRITs has an enviable history of being one of the most important platforms for incredible stand out TV moments from the biggest global artists and I have no doubt that Justin’s performance will be one to remember.”

The performance will mark Timberlake’s third BRIT Awards performance, having previously performed ‘Mirrors’ in 2013 and a 2003 medley that saw him joining forces with Kylie Minogue for a performance of Blondie’s ‘Rapture’.

Earlier this month, it was also confirmed that Foo Fighters will make their debut at the BRIT Awards.

“How the fuck have we never played at The BRIT Awards before!?!?!”, Dave Grohl said of the performance.

“We’ve had a ton of firsts over in the UK – from our first festival (Reading ’95) to our first headlining arena tour (2002) to our first stadium tour (2008) – you guys have always been so good to us. Why not add 2018 Brit awards to the list??!?!? Let’s make some noise.”
