Fifth Harmony fans are sharing their fears that the band may be about to split.
The band recently cancelled their Australian tour due to “scheduling commitments” – the latest in a string of moves that suggest the group may be disbanding.
The band’s Lauren Jauregui was recently revealed to be leaving Epic records for Columbia, as she plans to release a solo album. In addition, Normani Kordei has signed with new management, and featured solo on a new Khalid track, ‘Love Lies’.
The moves have sent fans into a frenzy, with many fearing that a One Direction-style “indefinite hiatus” may be incoming. “Slowly but surely, fifth harmony gonna disband/ break up for good which i will not be surprised,” wrote one, while another Tweeted: “Fifth Harmony cancelled their tour in Australia, again. Can they announce their breakup already so my girl Dinah can start recording her debut album?!”

Fifth Harmony’s timeline is eerily similar to One Direction’s, as the band were formed on The X-Factor, before prominent member Camila Cabello left to start a lucrative solo career – a similar move to One Direction’s Zayn Malik.
Speaking to NME recently, Cabello revealed that she feels greater pressure to be a good role model now she performs solo.
“I do. And I think it has a lot to do with the fact I have a sister who’s 10,” she said. “Even if I swear in real life, I don’t like swearing in songs. Because she listens to my songs with all her friends and I don’t want them to not be able to sing along. I definitely always keep that audience in my mind. Growing up, I looked up to all the Disney girls like Selena, Demi, Miley, Taylor. Well, Taylor wasn’t a Disney girl, but you know what I mean. I feel like the people you look up to as a kid definitely influence you in some way. And because of that I wanna be a good influence on younger kids.”
