Last year was without doubt the most challenging for everyone involved behind the scenes. From an infrastructure point of view, organising the festival was incredibly difficult – issues around transport, staffing, sourcing infrastructure and companies leaving the industry entirely resulted in a large number of changes in contractors for us. We successfully overcame the challenges and confirmed the infrastructure needed to successfully and safely stage the event. We would not have gone ahead if we didn’t believe this to be the case. The majority of changes worked out well and we welcomed various new teams to the festival who will now be with us in 2022.

Sadly the one area we were let down with was the toilets. The situation did improve during the weekend but it was incredibly frustrating and we can only apologise. Part of the reason for a delay announcing the 2022 dates has been for us to ensure we are able to address this issue for 2022 before we go on sale. We wanted to make sure we had a new provider who can deliver the service we need. We have now engaged a new company and team who we’re looking forward to working with.

Tickets for #BD2022 go on sale on Friday and we are very excited with who we have booked to play already! All our teams are busy working on plans for 2022. Hope you’ll join us x

As much as I loved it last year, I won’t be going this year 😪 nothing to do with the festival but it was my first one me and my now ex partner went to together and too many memories still raw atm. Hopefully will have it together to go next year instead 🙏 ❤

  33. Dan Kelly says:

Glad the toilets are sorted this year.

Unfortunately, unless other plans get cancelled we won’t make it this year.

I suspect I’ll be even more gutted come the lineup announcement

  34. David Knight says:

Lovely, yes the toilets were awful and we didn’t see any improvement over the weekend. The attitude of some stewards and organisers around it stank more than the toilets, it took the magic of the festival away for us. I have also never seen so many people walking about vomiting their drinks up, not what we want for our little boy. So after 14 festivals, we will not be coming back.
