‘Percussion’ with Guy Nwogang
Guy Nwogang is a drummer percussionist, producer and teacher who has toured all around the world.“Dipita Na Wélisanè” which means faith and perseverance in duala, are words that perfectly describe Guy Nwogang ‘s philosophy.
The author of two methods that teach the Cameroonians rhythms, “12/8 Accents” and “Cam Rhythms Air Lines”, was born in Cameroon where music is more than an institution.
He has played on numerous albums including Past Present Future (Manu Dibango), Atan (Abbe Ngayini), M&M (Moreira Chonguica), Live (Djamel Laroussi) and many more.
In 2016, he worked on the official Anthem of the Francophony Olympics Game’s entitled “Tu sais”, featuring, among others, Manu Dibango, Black M, Inna Modja and Christophe Willem.
As a producer and arranger he worked on Valérie EKOUME’s first opus “Djaalé”, and he is the author of the drums method called Cam Rythme Air Lines. In addition he enjoys teaching drums at L’Ecole Départemental de Musique de Haute Saone.
